Family Friendly 11/9/2008

This great family owned business has been in operation since 1971. They are a great deal in this slumping economy and a great taste too! Besides their unique pizza, they offer many sandwiches, grinders, salad (oh so good!), fried foods, and much more. I truly recommend you try them today! And, if you don't like the pizza I assure you there are many other dishes to savor. Check out their simple web site www.pizzabypappas.com and don't for get to try the truly homemade rice pudding!! Papa's the best 7/28/2008

Papa's Pizza is the greatest pizza in downtown Scranton. Everyday a crowd rushes in around lunch time to have some of the famous pizza. the pizza is small but i can eat like 4. more

No sure why it's a household name 11/14/2005

Pappas has been around for a very long time and just about everyone who has lived in the city for any amount of time knows them and has had their pizza. Eh....it's ok. It's actually very greasy. And although I would eat there is I had to, if it was convenient or a friend really wanted to go there, I would not choose to go there on my own. more

Must Try their Pizza and Grinders 9/6/2005

Pappa's is a household name among those who work in downtown Scranton. They have been in business for over 30 years. They have great pizza -- different from any other pizza around. The pizza comes in only one size -- about a 10" round pie (enough for two to share) and is cheesy and delicious. They serve grinders, which are hot hoagies, and they are delicious. They have both smoking and non-smoking sections which are not divided in any way. But it is possible to get a non-smoking table and not be affected by any second-hand smoke. It's a great restaurant and perfect for lunch! more
