I love pizza antica! The crust is like no other pizza I've ever had. I'm on a diet so try not to eat it so much--- but when I crave pizza I will go nowhere else. more

#1 European style pizza in East Bay 2/22/2008

Great flavor and the crust is perfect! Thin and crispy like a cracker. Service and seating were a bit slow, but it was crowded. The flavors were bold and truly surprising. The potato pizza was out of this world. A bit noisy but it is a pizza joint! Great for families and this is my #1 pizza restaurant. Pros: Pizza is great! Food is great! Cons: Noisy and crowded. more

Great thin crust! 7/25/2006

The food here is really delicious, but it takes quite a bit to time to be served. Also, if you come at lunch or dinner peak hours, you may have to wait a long time to be seated. The atmosphere is very nice and relaxing, as you have the option to sit inside or out. The servers are knowledgeable about the food, but sometimes run a little slow when you need a refill or request something extra. Overall I would recommend this place if you are looking for a good thin crust pizza. Pros: Food tastes Great, lots of topping options, easy to find Cons: slow service, a bit pricey, long wait time more

The food was decent but over priced for the quality, the atmosphere good, but the service was disappointing. Too many employees, too little service. We had to request items multiple times and our waitor disppeared several times through out the night. Pros: Dessert, parking. Cons: Service, spaghetti very salty. more

Fantastic Pizza & Salad! 6/9/2006

Stopped by for a quick, casual dinner and was so pleased with our dining experience. We had the Spicy Caprese Sausage Pizza, Broccoli & Pancetta Pizza and the Mixed Green Salad with Piadini. ALL were FANTASTIC! If you've been wondering if this place is worth the visit, go on in. You won't be disappointed! Pros: parking, great central location, family friendly Cons: seating is a little tight more

Great food in the East Bay!! 8/10/2005

Actually, maybe I'm a little biased, because I go here all the time. I absolutely love the food. You can't beat the thin crust pizzas... but I would really recommend the Pork Chop. The menu changes every few months, so they may have different things from time to time. I don't know what the last reviewer was talking about, but to me, the Calamari is the best thing on the menu... I guess they were expecting battered and deep fried. I have to admit that at times the service isn't great, and since they don't take reservations, the wait can be long, but it's definitely worth it. Scrumptious and Savory Fare 8/10/2005

I have experienced one impressive meal after another at Pizza Antica. The name may be a bit deceiving because Pizza Antica offers many selections other than their delectable thin crust pizza. The last time I ate there, my boyfriend and I fell in love with the herb roasted chicken over white beans and the pan seared leg of lamb with great wines offered by the glass that did not break our wallet. The noise level was quite high due to the abundance of people, the restaurant itself is very stylish with all black and white interior and big windowed doors looking onto a landscaped patio with white umbrellas and bistro tables. We ate our meal in about one hour (salad, entree and coffee), leaving completely satisfied and spending less than $50. more

fabulous Food and Wine 8/9/2005

If your looking for good wine and an array of fabulous pizza and pasta dishes, Pizza Antica is the place to go. The waitstaff is young, friendly with a wide knowledge of the menu. I would reccomend the gnocci with a refreshing glass of the Syrah. The look is modern and the music is upbeat. I will definetly be going back! more

BAD Service 6/4/2005

The wait-staff seems to be a bit too young and unprofessional. An hour wait, even the the hostess kept saying, ""just a sec."" and frustratingly slow service. Our waiter was also quite rude as well. We found the pizza to be decent, especially for the area, but some of the entrees are way off mark. Specifically, the calimari. more
