This place has the worst service including management, they make you wait a while to give you a menu, getting your order, if they forget napkins or anything else they take more than 15 minutes to get you anything. I have tried this place about 3 times and every single time its been a dissapointment. more

I've never had such an unique experience eating Gelato in my life. So many flavors and unique ways of ordering make for a long wait for you server. From children gelato to adults, there is a lot to choose from. Of course, if you could go and prepare your meal yourself things would be so much better. Servers take their time to come. There is a ""Please Seat Yourself"" sign in the entrance way so natural you seat yourself but you still have to wait at least 15 minutes to receive a menu. You often find yourself reminding servers to bring spoons or napkins. Often your attempts at reminding them are worthless as they rush to avoid you and run behind the counter to loudly talk to the rest of the staff about you. Yes, I speak from experience. Main course meals are nothing that you can't get from Key Food yourself. I'd prefer to go to Cheeburger Cheeburger or TGI Friday's and then come to Piu Bello for dessert, personally. I love this place. Everything from their breakfast to desserts is great. My favorite is the Cuban panini. The bread is not hard at all like most paninis in a lot of other places are. The ham, pork, cheese and everything else, blends perfectly together. The staff is friendly, portions are satisfying, and prices are affordable. For being just a few subway stops away from the city, I am always amazed at the terrible service I receive in Queens. Absolutely amazed. This place is no different, in fact it seems like it takes it up a notch. The food is fine, I question it's cleanliness, but it is tasty. The salads are great. However this is all assuming that you can get served. You may or may not get someone to tell you to seat yourself. And if you don't, you will be left sitting at a table, wondering if you shouldn't have picked your own table and maybe you are now being punished for doing so. Then, when someone takes your order, it takes an very extended period of time to receive it. You think you are done, don't you? You would think that no matter how poor the service is up until now, once you are ready to pay, they wouldn't make you wait, right? Wrong. I have never waited so long to give my money to someone. They offer great food at inexpensive prices. The desserts are to die for. They seriously rival serendipity's. The decor is not much so, don't expect anything close to fancy. Instead it's like a 90210 ""Peach Pit"" with fabulous dessert. Don't order the pasta, it's mediocre. I would order things like calamari though. The more expensive entrees are much better.
