I had a wonderful experience working with Pittsburgh Window and Door. They replaced my entry way french doors with a single door and sidelights and the people door between my garage and basement. It was simple to schedule an appointment, it was convenient to meet with Tom our home, and Tom provided excellent advice on our best options. Rob and Adam who installed the doors were friendly, polite, and patient with my ever-present children. After months of looking around for the best option for windows a close friend of mine turned me on to Pittsburgh Window and Door. I checked BBB A+ (which is good but not great) then I checked Angies List NOTHING BUT GREAT REVIEWS (Which is perfect seeing that these reviews come from real people) so I called them to come out and give me a quote on 16 windows. Tom Jones came to my home (One of the owners of the company took the time to come to my home and talk to me!) Looked over my windows, gave me some options, and suggested the best windows for my needs. I was replacing single pane on the first floor and old aluminum everywhere else. Most of my windows were cracked and painted shut, not very appealing. The one change I did want to make is our rear windows. On the first floor I have a great view from the back of my home and it was being blocked buy the space the current windows (3 to be exact) where taking up. I asked Tom if it would be possible to make that one large double slider and he thought it to be a great idea too. We sat down and went over the numbers, which were great as well, not the cheapest but not the most expensive by far, VERY REASONABLE! Very low pressure sales, they really let their reputation speak for itself, which was a nice change after having so many 2 hour long, high pressure, demonstrations. After Tom left I sat down and reviewed all the options with my wife. We decided on the Simonton 5050 which through research and Tom's recommendation I came to find is a great middle of the road window. Pittsburgh Window and Door offer higher end models but I really didn't need all those options. I signed the contract and we were placed on the schedule. Our windows came in and we got a call 2 WEEKS LATER, I was again amazed. I was put on the schedule to install the next week! I had to work the day of the install and I work from sun up to past sun down so when I got home it was dark and I really couldn't get the full effect. The next morning I came downstairs and was hit by the brilliant light of the sunrise from this HUGE back window that makes it look as if a wall wasn't even there. All the windows were absolutely perfect. I could not be happier. To be able to open up all the windows and let a breeze come through is great. The curb appeal on my home has increased ten fold as well. Tom, Pittsburgh Window and Door, and the entire staff there, GREAT JOB!! Thank you! Tom Jones from Pittsburgh Window and Door Company just replaced 15 windows in our home with Simonton windows. The windows look great and are really performing well. Far beyond our expectations. i called for an estimate on one window that i need redone in my bathroom. the lady that answered treated me like an idiot because i guess i gave her the mearsurements backwards. then she proceeded to tell me that no one was there to give a price, but she would call me the next day! i never heard from anyone! i tell everyone not to call them!
