Pittsburg Floral & Wedding (Closed?)

The building downtown at this location is closed. There is a sign that says Pittsburg Floral and Wedding, but the building is empty. Terry Colvin at the Computer Emporium bought the building after the former owner moved out and closed their business downtown I am told. Terry is working on fixing up the building. In looking at the other reviews, I also heard the businesses started in Mount Vernon and Hughes Springs Texas also closed quite a while back. more

This is a near empty store with shoes shoved up against the window. Not much in the way of flowers or wedding gifts. Looks more like a cheap shoe store than anything else yet the sign over the building says it is a florist. I'm confused........ more

Tried doing a small ice cream store and failed. Had to sell it. Tried a florist in Mt. Vernon and failed, closed it. Trying a florist in Hughes Springs that has no customers and is only open a couple days a week. It is failing. Funeral home is contracted with a florist elsewhere, lol. Pittsburg Floral in Pittsburg has no business, empty store. Now she is trying to sell T -Shirts and her business is for sale. How do you sell a business that has no customers. Why don't you pay your wholesalers and area businesses that you owe money to? more

Loved the flowers I got from my husband there. I went in there after and told them they are the best in town! A must! more

Wow, talk about backwoods and country. A woman came out of this store yelling at a guy across the street to come to her store and buy something. She had not seen him in her store in forever. He waved and kept walking hurriedly, got in his car, and left. When I passed by the store window I could understand why. There is very little merchandise in the store and it all looks very old. Definite bypass on this one. Rude and obnoxious! more

This past April the owners of this business closed their small florist in Mount Vernon Texas where they used the slogan, "business comes where invited and stays where appreciated." A pretty lame slogan, but I guess they forgot to invite customers because they did very little business and closed their doors this past April 2009. All this while they blamed the town on not being able to support "a florist" much less two florists. They operated their florist out of a five gallon bucket with a couple clumps of flowers in it. Makes you wonder doesn't it. The florist opened late and closed early, so it was very inconvenient for customers. There was no floral cooler with fresh flowers. Well another florist, The Party Barn, has been in Mount Vernon for years and continues to stay. Pittsburg Floral has "very little inventory" and "very little fresh flowers." Ask to see their flowers. There aren't many and they don't look very fresh. Buyer beware! more

My sister used this florist and I helped organize this florist with her. They sat us down and helped us order all the flowers for the wedding. They delivered all the flowers on time and helped arranges them at the church and reception. The wedding bouquet was so beautiful. They were very reasonable with the cost. and very friendly. Will definitely recommend to others. more
