My favorite place for lunch 3/8/2010

There is only one negative about Pita Pit so I'll get it out of the way to start with- they're a bit pricey. Not unreasonable, but maybe a dollar more than I'd normally spend on lunch. That said, everything else about Pita Pit is top shelf. High quality ingredients, great flavor, totally customizable ordering, and great service. If you're looking to eat healthy you can keep your order lean and chock full of veggies. The wheat pitas are delicious but you can even go fork style and cut down on the calories yet again. And believe me, you'll still be full at the end of your meal! Their falafel is some of the best in the city and their buffalo sauce has a nice kick. There is nothing on their menu that I've been disappointed by, I have faith that everything they make is tasty. Keep up the great work guys! more

Amazing food...healthy too! 1/25/2010

Friendly employees, speedy service, fresh ingredients....what's not to like? The pitas are stuffed with any combination of ingredients you want. Big ups to the chipotle sauce and the falafel they have. The chicken, falafel, and veggie steak always make for a good base especially for Vegetarians. You gotta get the buffalo chicken pita 10/25/2008

The buffalo chicken pita is great. They are very quick, and moderately friendly. My only complaint is that sometimes they smother the chicken in buffalo sauce and other times they barely put any on. Its annoying having the sauce drip all over you and equally disappointing for their to be so little buffalo sauce you cannot taste it. The preparers need to work on uniformity. Pros: Quick and healthy Cons: Sometimes their green peppers and tomatoes look a little tired and not quite as fresh as one would desire. more

Fresh and healthy take-out til 3am! (on Fri and Sat) 4/22/2008

This is the best place to go for a quick take-out sandwich. I frequently order pita pit for lunch or dinner since I love the build-your-own sandwich menu, which includes everything from standard chicken and turkey to falafel and hummus. The variety of condiments, cheeses and sauces to choose from is also impressive. The delivery service is usually fairly quick and friendly, and the price is what I'd expect to pay for a sandwich (~$6). The fact they're open til 3am is also a huge bonus, though I've never ordered anything that late.\r \r Since I like to eat healthy, I appreciate the nutrition info online and that most sandwiches can be made healthy and to suit your preferences/needs. The only downside is that the some of the meat isn't always the best (especially the roast beef) - not bad, but not always freshest there is. Loved my sandwich: fresh, well seasoned meats, cheese, even the spinach was green and fresh. Can't beat the speed, freshness and having a sandwich made-to-order ... a pretty darned good value. I'm planning on working my way through the menu! more

ummm this is probably the best lunch spot in the city. the food is always fresh, always fabulous and always filling. the holy 'F' trinity of a great meal. i love stopping in the store because the staff is so awesome, and i like looking at all the pictures on the wall, but when i cant, i know the delivery team will keep my pitas safe and warm (or cold) on the perilous journey to my home. give it a shot, i know you'll love it. If you like fresh food served up fast with a friendly smile this is the place. Lots of menu choices and excellent smoothies to wash it down. Prices are low, quality high so for me it's a great value. Pros: Food and service Cons: None I can think of more

Amazing freshly prepared pita's anyway you'd like them!! 7/11/2007

This little slice of heaven allows customers to customize there own pita creations for a perfect meal to satisfy even the biggest hunger! The employees there are very polite and attentive and the restaurant itself is very clean and has a fun atmosphere. I would highly recommend the Pita Pit to anyone. It's absolutely worth a stop in. Once you do you're hooked!!! Pros: Great food quality, excellent service, great prices, good value! Cons: There isn't one closer to where I live!! more

The pita pit is one of the greatest spots in the city to catch a great bite. it good because of the fresh quality ingredients used and the fact that it is healthy and made in front of you its a really good price so it won't break the bank. the atmosphere is good also bright and clean with a friendly staff. definitley a good place to go for pitas and wraps much better than the wrap shack on 18th. Pros: good prices and great tasting while still being healthy. Cons: i'm not crazy on the cartoon characters in the restaurant but who cares. more

Aside from it's convenient location and friendly , helpful staff the ""fast food"" at Pita Pit is second to none. Each Pita is made to order with fresh, delicious ingredients. The pitas are large and can satisfy even the biggest appetite while most of them only cost $5! \r \r The smoothies are delicious and fat free, not to mention fresh! The perfect summer treat for the health conscious. \r \r I have tried just about every variety and I have not been dissatisfied with any! The gyros are a must-try and Tzatziki, sauce is INCREDIBLE!!!\r \r I highly recomend the Pita Pit!\r more

Very Unique and very satisfying 7/10/2007

From the outside this place looks like a knock off of Subway or any other other trite sandwhich shop but after giving it a whirl, I can assure you, it ain't. From the start you are greeted with a friendly smile. You then order what type of pita you want i.e chicken, steak, falafel, club... You then move over to the next station where you literally can customize it to whatever suits your fancy. The best part is that there are no limits to how much you ask them to pack in. It's pretty ridiculous but i love it. They then take the ingredience and then wrap it in a way that it looks more like a wrap than a pita so you can eat it on the go. It really is f'n delicious and i highly recommend it. \r \r So far i have had the Roast Beef, Chicken Caesar, Buffalo, and Steak.\r \r LOL and they where a shirt that says ""I Pita Da' Fool!"" I love their Brakfast Pita 1/11/2007

I ordered 15 pitas for my office on Friday. They had a great variety of pitas as well as so many fun ingredients. Everyone in my office loved them and has not stopped talking about how great they tasted. I recommend the Morning Glory pita, it was the best breakfast I have ever had. it was my first time...i ordered online which was fast and easy...then i wrote in their comments box that it was my frist time and when the bill came I got a discount...I ordered the ck ceaser pita and it was okay but I liked the berry smoothie and cookie best of all...maybe I'll try a a salad next time...I still think the best pita in philly is only at Mama's...sorry pita pit. The pitas are ok- either wheat or white. The meats and cheeses are like any deli. The staff is not the best. They were not really concerned about working, more about checking their cell phones and talking (hanging out). I ordered, then was asked by the ""pita-maker"" what I was having after I already ordered and paid. The price is ok. I felt that I could have gotten more at Subway nextdoor, with a friendly smile.
