Great food and service A+++ 5/30/2010

i was referred by a friend to go there and cannot forget how great this place is! I had invited some friends and relatives to celebrate my wedding there and everyone LOVES this small nice restaurant. They were amazed how good the food is and service is just perfect. The owner is super nice and patient. The decorations and music make you feel cozy. The big tree near the door is real and it gives me a nice feeling while I eat. I highly recommend this place for parties under 50 people. Pros: Nice, Warm, Cute Owners and Good Food! more

Another 5 star review for Pisces 5/25/2009

We're from out of town, so we found this restaurant on City Search and relied on the reviews to select it for my daughter's graduation dinner. We were not disappointed! My dad said his pasta was the best he's ever eaten. My husband had plenty of food and said the short ribs were really tasty. I had the lobster ravioli and totally loved it. Add me to the list of happy diners. Pros: Excellent food, great service Cons: a little out of the way more

Best Food in the Sunset 5/8/2008

I was just simply amazed how good the food was considering the location. The sunset isn't exactly a mecca of fantastic food. Pros: Skirt steak and mashed potatoes are excellent Cons: A couple fruit flies more

Awesome all around 2/29/2008

My friend and I found this place on city search and we were very pleased with everything! Our waiter was very knowledgeable on the wines served there and gave us an amazing recommendations. The clam chowder was everything we expected and I too highly recommend you try it! more

Best American and Seafood in the SUNSET 1/14/2008

My husband and I live in the sunset and long for more fun restaurants like this one in the Sunset. We loved the restaurant that was here before this one but this one redesigned the inside and put nice table cloths out to make it feel more warm. We actually love there burgers and seafood! We were bummed they got rid of the casear salad. Not sure why that happened. They need to bring it back! You can also come and be as casual as you want and sit at the bar, watch the SF Giants games, etc. So much fun! The owner is super sweet, hard to understand his English but has a huge heart. The waiters are very nice and happy to be working there. They used to have fresh brewed ice tea and now they have it from the soda machine. Go back to fresh brewed, huge difference in taste. We love that this restaurant has come to the Sunset and hope they make it. The bread is to die for! Pros: WARM, COZY, AFFORDABLE, GREAT WINE AND YUMMY SEAFOOD. Cons: No fresh ice tea. more

great food and wine list 6/19/2007

this place is awesome. they have 2 different price leveled prix fixe menus, and all the other stuff is also SO yummy. the wine list is great as well, and very reasonably priced. make sure you don't try to go on a monday, tho, because they're closed on mondays. Pros: price, food, wine Cons: can't think of any more

Best deal in town 1/17/2007

I was pretty pleased with the restaurant. I opted for the $25 prix fixe menu and was very impressed by the dishes that followed (one of the best clam chowders i've ever tasted, nice presentation). The owner, Kevin, gave our table great wine recommendations. The waiter was a bit inexperienced, but in all fairness, its a fine dining restaurant in the outer sunset (i've gotta give the guy credit for trying). Pros: Good clam chowder, oysters, wine Cons: inexperienced wait staff more

Best clam chowder, friendly staff 1/12/2007

We have tried most thing on this wonderful menu, and have not been failed yet. The clam chowder is one of the best I've ever had. It is so nice to have a good restaurant in the outer sunset. Pros: clam chowder Cons: none come to mind more

Very Freshing and Enjoyable 8/9/2006

Found this restaurant on Citysearch so I decided to give it a go. Most restaurants in the sunset are old and family owned, and at times obsolete however not the case with Pisces. It is affordable and fun at the same time. Pros: Lots of seafood options, light and fresh, not overly creamy and heavy more

Fine dining that won't empty the wallet 7/27/2006

This is a hip yet comfortable place. Soothing colors on the wall and courteous staff. The steam mussels and steam clams are must have's! They were so fresh, steamed just right, not dried out and just cooked. The meat was plum (i.e. not tiny in a lage shell). I love shell fish and love clams even more when they don't have that little piece of broken shell or sand hiding in the meat to break your teeth. This place has it really right! Pisces makes it perfect. Their iced tea is not just brewed black tea but fragranted passion fruit (the kind of tea you find only in expensive French or Italian restaurants). Oh, and for you wine buddies, they have a wide selection of wine and a full bar. In addition to a good selection of pasta and sandwiches, the seafood stew is also a great dish. If you like Dead Fish in Crocket, you will like this place, even more, like I do. Pros: food, price, feel Cons: can't think of any more
