Hey, you won't find Stepford style servers or bartenders here. If you want the fake smiles and vacant chit-chat greetings, then stick with Applebees. And, leave your rugrats at...

The beer was exceptional but the burger was something I would expect from hamburger Stand. My wife and I went there in May and first sat in the bar area and since it was louder th...

Not very good... 2/9/2006

I live across the street, so I want SO bad to love this place. We have drug our friends there again and again in hopes to find a cool neighborhood bar we can enjoy so close to home. Not going to happen. So sad to say, the food is really gross. It's sad because I like the atmosphere, maybe if your super drunk the stuff will taste edible. I would like to see them do a good business because when you have a beer craving, its fun to get a drink there. But I have to be truthful to those wondering about the food quality, eat before you go. Oh, and the burgers can't even be compared to City Grille. I would prefer a McDonald's burger over Pint's and I hate McDonalds. Pros: cool atmosphere, good beer selection, nice change of pace Cons: bad food, bad service more

Pints vs Citygrille 10/29/2003

Pints Pub is the class of burger joints in Downtown Denver. I know Citygrille gets rave reviews BUT I suspect that the people that give rave reviews to Citygrille have never actually EATEN THERE. I eat out EVERY DAY in Downtown Denver and I spread my business around so you could say I know Downtown food and i have the belly to prove it! Pints Pub is clearly the class of the affordable pub grub. Their Burgers are affordable and first class, and the service is even better! Order Iced tea and they bring you a pitcher unlike many other restaurants that rely on an overburdened waitress to MAYBE refill you while you choke down your food without liquid. In 12 years of daily dining downtown experience, Pints Pub is at the top of my list when it comes to Burgers! more

Fun hang out 5/27/2003

One of my favorite haunts. Better and more unique than typical bar food. Excellent liqour selection. If nothing else, have their stew and a pint of guinness when it's cold and snowy outside. Pros: liqour selection, almost authentic pub Cons: smoky more

Bangers, whiskey and beer 3/3/2003

This review is LONG overdue. Pints Pub is a Denver gem. Serving British pub fare, microbrews and whiskey on tap, Pints offers casual ambience with a flare. Be sure to try Pint's Bangers and Mash or their Shepherd's stew. Both are excellent, especially on chilly nights. You can also warm up quickly with a smooth glass of whiskey - choosing which kind might be tricky, as they have an extensive collection on tap. Pint's beer will also warm up hollow spot - try one of their microbrews. Pint's food may not be right on the nose as far as authenticity goes, but that might be a good thing! Right! Pros: Great food, Good drinks, Casual atmosphere more

Pop in for a pint 1/14/2003

Great atmosphere, top notch wait staff & bartenders. Fish & chips is great-no greasy fried cod here. Home brews are a welcome change from the ordinary. Pros: reasonable, attentive staff Cons: parking limited, long lunch line more

Let's work on the menu a bit... 9/1/2002

We lived in England for 4 years and agree with what most everyone says, from ratings 3-10 for this place. The staff could be a bit more friendly, not that English pubs are friendly to non-locals. The Whiskey list is un-ending and better than any you will find in Scotland, the beer menu is good as well. The menu needs work - people expect cod/plaice fish&chips with some Sarson's malt vinegar, salad cream and a Whimpy with some HP Brown sauce! How about a beef & guiness pie, bubble & squeak, shepard's pie? They do serve a good shandy....... Pros: Best Whiskey menu, Great crisps, close parking Cons: service, menu more

Blimey, this place is pucker! 8/8/2002

Everything I've tried at Pint's has exceeded my culinary expectations, from the ale (try the Phonebox Amber or Gaelforce Ale) to the wings! The burgers (wimpys) are some of the best I've had anywhere, with a genuinely beefy flavor, outstanding REAL cheese options (dill havarti, cheddar, smoked mozzeralla, etc.), and a free pickle/pepper mini-bar, at your table, allowing for endless customization of the perfect wimpy! The bangers and mash shouldn't be missed, nor should the apple smoked pork loin! more

Single Malt heaven 6/19/2002

The pub fare is excellent, though not truely english. The local brews are good, but where Pints shines is in it's collection of Single Malts. The largest collection in North America. The atmosphere doesn't hurt either. Pros: Atmosphere, Selection Cons: parking more

Best pub in Denver 6/18/2002

Whenever I'm in Denver I make a point to drop in at Pints. It's warm, cozy, and has a great selection of drinks, including an offering of its own beers. There's no better place in Denver to sit back and enjoy being with your friends. I've only eaten there once and the food was not particularly memorable. Pros: friendly atmosphere, good beer more

  • In Short
The red phone booth outside the building and the British flags hanging from the roof help contribute to the authentic English pub atmosphere. In addition to Pints' own brews, there are plenty of imported British swigs like Whitbread, Newcastle Brown and a Welsh ale called Felinfoel, which is sweet with a distinct hint of sherry. Burgers are served thick and juicy and the Beddar Wimpy--a cheddar-and-bacon cheeseburger--is a house specialty.
