I came to this shop after trying almost every shop in the central valley. No one seemed to want to do a ""cowgirl up"" tattoo on my left arm. So i came to pins and john had an opening and it came out better then i expected. Anyone who wants a good professional tattoo should hit up this shop more

ok so i got my first tattoo over this late weekend and i was so scared about it. I came by the shop to show john what i wanted to get and he was very helpful with what would look good and where i should get it. I got it done about an hour later and it didnt feel that bad at all! I already made and appointment for my sendond one. Thanks John ;) more

Hey guys, I just wana set the record straight. I used to work at a shop called bluemoon in tracy and all the owner did all day was sit on his computer and write bad reviews about other tattoo shops. Mostly Pins and needles. That shop was so unsafe, they didnt even own and auto-clave they would use bleach to clean the needles (that doesnt work it just rusts the metal) and they had 6 lawsuits thati know of. So almost all the bad reviews you see on all of these sites are him, If you want to see a good representation of Johns work just go to there facebook (pinsandneedlestattoostracy). Im sorry for all this John i just want to make things right. more

I got my eyebrow done and wow it looks amazing. ive been wanting it for a long time and had gone to some of the other shops in tracy but they all said i didnt have enough skin to do it. I finaly went to pins and needles and the piercer there was so good that he was able to explain how he would be able to do it and it worked out perfectly. You guys rock! thank you so much! more

I just got another piece added to my sleeve and i couldnt be happier. Ive been going to jon since he opened up his shop 8 years ago and he has always taken care of me. I would recomend this place to everyone who wants a professional tattoo more

Ive been looking around tracy to get my first tattoo and ive been looking on the internet to find what the best shop would be and you know what i found? I found out that when you go on the internet everyone trash talks the best shops and when you actually go there you see nothing byt happy customers coming out. I dont know why his is but i will be going to pins and needles for all my ink more

I just got my firs tattoo here and omg its beautiful! i got a flower on my left shoulderblade and it looks exactly like the real thing. John is a true artist when it comes to doing amazing tattoos! more

I have been going to John at Pins & Needles since December of 08. I have gotten three tattoos from him and can?t say one negative thing. My tattoos are very detailed and have required numerous appointments and each time I know what I?m getting. The tattoo I asked for. John is a friendly guy, if you?re certain of your design, where you want it, and that you?re not going to be a cry baby. After all people, he is providing a service. It?s not a day care or a psychiatrist, it?s a Tattoo Artist! To expect that you?re going to get treated like a princess and coddled is not realistic; how would you feel if you dealt with 10 uncertain, whiney people every day, with poor hygiene? As with all things in life, you get what you give. I enjoy my sessions and my ink. I feel like the pictures I have provided are interpreted completely. Can Pins & Needles use a little spring cleaning? Sure. However, the tattoo and piercing areas are clean and sterile each time I?ve come into the shop. John and Pat are easy to talk to and down to earth. more

I know one guy who got a major staff infection from a tattoo given to him by the owner, John. I also know someone who used to hang out with the guy (hey Tracy is a small town, lol!). He was heavy into meth. I wouldn't want someone tweaking out while tattoing me. A good friend of mine didn't listen to my warnings about the guy with the staff infection. She went in for a leg tattoo and luckily she got no infection but John did the artwork and it was TERRIBLE. She now has to get it completely redone. Don't go to John with custom work, he simply cannot do it. In addition, she brought him some original artwork, and later found out that he had put the artwork on his wall and said it was his creation. WTF??? People say he's cheap, but I'd rather spend more elsewhere than get the crappy results my friends did. Pros: cheap. (for a reason) Cons: Dirty, rude, poor quality more

So last summer I went to get a tattoo at Pins & needles from Martin, who I guess is no longer there(good thing) and my tattoo came out good but not great. My lines were all squigly and my color faded not to long after. Now Martin was supposed to be a great artist with 15years of experience. I'm just glad he's gone and hope he doesn't mess up anyone else's tattoo like mine. Now im going to have to get it re done some how with thicker lines I guess....Hope that works more

Today I got my 1st Pins & Needles Tattoo. I already had 6, so I know what to look for. John ( The Owner) inked me, and he was great. I had a vision of what I wanted, but really didn't have this one all together. From what I told him and had to show him, he totally came thorugh with a beautiful creation. This tattoo is dedicated to my grangparents, who are no longer with me, so it really means a lot to me to have it on me. I knew that I wanted Cherry Blossoms and a sun with rays. Today we did the Flowers, there was minimum pain, it was pretty qiuck, and the price was great. I thought I would be paying around $400.00, but all together about $200.00. What a deal. That is including what has not been done yet. Thank God I found a artist who is Great, prices are great, and has a clean shop. I plan on getting at least one more, and I know I will be going back to Pins & Needles. Make an Appointment, it is always easier, try to bring some information on what you want. I am sure you will be as happy as I am today. Pros: Great tattoos, prices, artist, and service. Easy to locate! Cons: None, everything was awsome! more

Pins & Needles is my tattoo place for life. And if you're looking for a professional setting with a relaxed atmosphere then you should look at Pins & Needles. Casey is my favorite artist and he will be doing my tattoos from here on out. Casey is a very soothing soul and makes you feel at ease, this could be very important for a first timer. My place, Pins and Needles. My artist Cassy. I have 5 tattoos. He did my last and fixed another. Both are on my feet a place that ( as I am told and have experianced ) do not usually hold color well and have to be touched up. It has been over a year and the color is beautiful. The environment is relaxed yet professional. I was referred to pins and needles by a friend. The atrists are talented. and the prices are reasonable.
