I went with the Silicone fill vs. the Saline fill and they look and feel very natural. I would highly suggest going with the Silicone fill vs. the Saline fill because they are just as safe and feel real. You will have two consultations where he thoroughly discusses with you the differences between the two fills, the surgery, his recommendations, and any questions or concerns you may have about your upcoming surgery. He is very professional and loves what he does. You know from the first meeting that you are in very good hands and that he is going to make you look and feel amazing. I highly recommend him to anyone and have already given his card and information to some of my friends. He is also very affordable and offers different payment plans. more

In early August of 2011, I had breast augmentation surgery as well as a tummy tuck at the same time both performed by Dr. Rios. I had a large baby back in 1994 which caused loose abdominal skin. I am an avid fitness enthusiast and couldn't tighten the skin from diet and exercise. I also had very small breasts my whole life which made it difficult to buy swimsuits and look decent in clothes. I was referrred to Dr. Rios by a friend at the gym who had breast surgery a year before me. I was extremely pleased with the results from both surgeries. Dr. Rios was very professional and he told me all of the risks up front as well as what result I could expect based on my body. He did not pressure me to make any quick decisions nor did he try to influence what cup size I chose. The post operative period went very smoothly and the scars are healing well. Dr. Rios checked in on me the evening of surgery as well as several times over the next few weeks. Any time I had a question or concern, Dr. Rios called me personally to disucss. He never made me feel like I was a both. I went back to work after two weeks and I did not experience any extreme levels of pain. The cost was exactly as quoted and I was able to schedule my surgery when it was convenient for me. The office staff was friendly and responsive. I would definitely recommend Dr. Rios for these surgeries. more

After the birth of our 9-1/2 pound son twenty-one years ago I had extensive stretch marks, an unattractive vertical c-section scar, and loss of muscle that caused a loose, un-toned ?pouch? no amount of diet and exercise would alleviate. My subsequent pregnancy with our daughter seventeen years ago exacerbated these issues even further. Despite daily exercise and weight loss/weight maintenance, the appearance of my stomach affected my self-confidence and self-image more with each passing year. My stomach was not only unattractive to me but also to my husband. Though I knew they would do nothing to alleviate the ?pouch? and muscle loss, I have tried a number of topical applications over the years in an attempt to minimize the stretch marks and appearance of the scar?all to no avail. I have considered having an abdominoplasty for quite a few years. One day I saw one of Dr. Rios? ads in the newspaper offering a free initial consultation. Prior to meeting Dr. Rios I was a bit apprehensive, but my apprehensiveness diminished as we began discussing the procedure. Dr. Rios is so knowledgeable, thorough, and easy to converse with that our questions were answered and concerns allayed during that first meeting. I really appreciate the fact that Dr. Rios has potential surgical patients come back for a second consultation to further address any additional questions and/or concerns that may have arisen following the first consultation. At the second consultation, we discussed a few more issues and proceeded to schedule the procedure. From the moment I arrived to have the procedure, on-site care far exceeded my expectation. Meeting with the anesthesiologist and seeing Dr. Rios prior to the procedure definitely calmed any ?day of? concerns I may have had. Pain management was highly effective and I ceased actual pain medication 1-1/2 days after the procedure. The personal contact I/we received following the procedure was phenomenal. Dr. Rios was reachable at a moment?s notice and called the night of the procedure to check on me. Knowing that Dr. Rios was just a phone call away was unbelievable! The results of my abdominoplasty have so far exceeded our expectation and I am only three weeks out from surgery. Follow-up visits have been filled with encouragement and information?Dr. Rios? staff goes above and beyond to be helpful and kind! Something Dr. Rios said at our initial consultation with him really touched me at the time and has continued to play in my mind since. As we were conversing during that first meeting, Dr. Rios stated that it was important to him personally to build a relationship with his patients and that he would always be accessible, no matter how big or small the issue/question. I needed a mole removed. Dr. Rio's made me feel completely comfortable. I felt no pain and I was in and out in 15 minutes or so. Highly recommend going to see him. I have wanted breast augmentation for many years. I never thought I would actually go through with it. After my first consultation visit with Dr. Rios I was positive I wanted to have this surgery and he was the right doctor for me. I wanted to make sure I knew everything I could before I had this surgery. Dr. Rios took time to listen and answer all my questions. I never felt rushed at his office. Having chosen Dr.Rios for my breast augmentation was the wisest decision I've ever made. His down-to-earth personality, sense of humor, expertise and honesty immediately made me comfortable. The staff at his offices are professional and kind. Dr.Rios explained the procedure and risks thoroughly, as well as answered all of my questions without rushing the appointments. I never doubted he cares about his patients, and he confirmed that when he called from home the day after my surgery to check on me. Everything Dr.Rios told me about post-op recovery was true: I was out & about with my family the night of surgery, took my kids to the zoo the next day, had very little pain/discomfort (only took 600mg of Motrin the first 2 days), and recovered faster than I had ever imagined possible from such a procedure. I absolutely loved my experience with Dr. Rios. Of course I was initially charmed by his sense of humor and warm personality, but more importantly, I chose him and stuck with him because of his expertise, knowledge and clear passion for what he does. His procedure is unlike anyone else's and I can personally attest to the ease of recovery afterwards. I took the normal dosage of motrin for the first 3 days and have felt no pain since. I cannot stress how pleased I am with the results of my recent breast augmentation with Dr. Rios. Words cannot express what a FANTASTIC and CARING surgeon Dr. Rios is!! He made me feel comfortable and relaxed from the moment we met. The staff at the office was extremely helpful and they always welcome you with a smile. At my consult Dr. Rios discussed my breast augmentation in detail and answered all the questions I had. When it came time to pick out the size of implants that would be right for me, he was honest and forthcoming. I chose the size I wanted and was anxiously awaiting the surgery. I was completely amazed by Dr. Rios? skill as a surgeon. My surgery went great!! I had NO PAIN afterward, just a mild case of muscle soreness (it felt like I overdid it lifting weights)!!! Dr. Rios was the 5th plastic surgeon I went on a consultation with and I knew immediately that he was ""the one"" for me. Before I even get into Dr. Rios himself, the office and staff were EXTREMELY helpful, nice and professional. The office was state of the art, clean and quiet. Which seems kind of basic, but trust me- after 5 other consults, I had seen some very strange office setups. I immediately felt comfortable and relaxed in his care. He was very professional yet also very down to earth when talking to me. Compared to other PS that all seemed skeptical of me because I am young, Dr. Rios seemed confident in my ability to pay for and go through with my breast aug. Dr. Rios took the time to answer all of my questions and informed me that I would have to come in for a second consultation with him in order to proceed with my breast aug. I left his office knowing he was going to be the one! My second consult was the best, I was so eager to pick a size and schedule a surgery date. Dr. Rios again displayed professionalism and extreme care and concern for my decision. He instructed me on what size would be best and then let me play around with cc's before I finally decided on 400cc's silicone. He was honest and upfront in telling me that if I go any larger I would risk looking bad and that 400 would be the best for me. I agreed and then went to confirm my surgery date. The day of surgery- my surgery time got pushed back which was sort of upsetting. I was already EXTREMELY nervous and was scared if I had to wait any longer- I would freak out and cancel...luckily I did not [lol]. Dr. Rios came in before my surgery and was again very honest with me, especially when I asked him ""if I would die"" lol which was one of my biggest concerns... he again, charmed me away from all of my worries and took care of me! I woke up with boobs and was instantly in love with them. That same night I was able to move around freely and shower with very very little restrictions. I was able to fully move around by day 2 and felt no pain at all after a full week. Even after my surgery, Dr. Rios continued to win me over by calling me that same evening to check on me and make sure I was okay. What really won me over was that I ended up having some sort of freak allergic reaction to something that was put in my IV, I broke out into hives all over my back, arms, neck, legs, and feet. Dr. Rios called me all weekend to make sure I was okay and provided me with suggestions to get rid of the allergy. A few days after my surgery, I went in to his office for a follow up visit and again was charmed and wow'ed by Dr. Rios. He even gave me a bouquet of flowers on my follow up visit! Like seriously, how many surgeons do you know that go the extra mile like that for their patients!? I truly fell in love with him as my surgeon and would recommend him to any and everyone considering getting a breast aug in Illinois. Don't go for the expensive surgeons with a lakefront office downtown- stay close to your home and visit someone like Dr. Rios. I am posting such a long and detailed review because prior to my surgery I was scouring the internet for reviews on Dr. Rios- good or bad- and found only 2! Hopefully this review will help other girls out by providing a truthful and detailed review about my experience with Dr. Rios. I love him! more

A year ago, thanks to Dr. Paula Lapinski and her physicians assistant, I had a VERY early melanoma found. She was informative and supportive.....when I was scared to death. Fortunately, her husband, Dr. Rios is a plastic surgeon. My surgery was scheduled right away and Dr. Rios did a nice, neat job on the really large incision. Dr. Lapinski feels that once you have melanoma, you can't be too careful; so she got me started on a watchful regimen. I think their entire staff is helpful and they put you at ease. I highly recommend them! more

I went to a few different surgeons before finally meeting Dr. Rios. I could not believe the difference in the staff, the atmosphere, and facilities of all the other places I visited. I went to Dr. Rios upon recommendation from two of my friends who had prior surgeries with him. One had just a breast augmentation the other a breast lift and augmentation. I however, needed not only a breast lift and augmentation, but a tummy tuck with hip lipo. I had been waiting for years for these procedures. I have 3 beautiful children that I ended up delivering c-section and breastfeeding all of them. I am now done having children and felt at 39 that my life and body needed this improvement. Dr. Rios performed a breast augmentation for me last week. I had very little pain and hardly any downtime. The results are great, even at one week and one day post op. Recovery has been a breeze. In fact, I have taken no prescription pain medication. Only ibuprofen and I haven't had to take any for days. Not only is he a skilled surgeon, he's a funny, warm and very reassuring.
