Pine Room Tavern

We've been to the Pine Room at least 25 times since it reopened with the new menu and so I'd have to say that it's got to be our favorite restaurant. The food is so creative and tasty, but very reasonably priced for the quality and size of portion that you get. We love the shrimp linquini, the reuben with home made corned beef brisket, the Amish chicken with polenta and honestly, just about everything else we've tried there. The only thing that I didn't like, my wife loved, which is the chili, It's oddly spiced to my taste, kind of Indian food tasting, maybe that's why I didn't like it, and my wife did. She loves Indian food. Their beer list is a who's who of craft and micro brewers in the US and abroad. I try something new every time we visit and they'll let you taste any of the 8 or 9 beers that they have on tap. Our friends who like wine rave about the wine selection and prices. We love the waitresses and bartenders, and the manager is very friendly and helpful to us when we want to know something about an entree or a beer. The only negative we've ever had was one server who was obviously very new and nervous during a very busy Thursday dinner rush. She forgot us for a bit, but when we brought this up with the manager he was sincerely apologetic and so was the young lady who was serving us. We weren't upset at all but their response to our comment was taken quite seriously and since then, even still, nearly every time we visit the manager comes by, no matter how busy or slow, and says hi and makes sure everything is great. The waitress is still there and now she serves like a pro! You won't be disappointed at The Pine Room Tavern unless you're looking for the smoky dive bar that it used to be. more

We visit the Pine Room about every two weeks and it's our favorite restaurant by far! Easily the best food in Nashville, and really you'd be hard pressed to find anything better in Bloomington or Columbus, as least for the prices! Great burgers, great sandwiches, fantastic and creative entrees using local ingredients. Amazing beer and wine list, and best of all, this is now a restaurant, not a trashy biker bar as it had been in years past. Seems like mostly a crowd of local professionals and it's a very friendly atmosphere with very helpful and knowledgeable servers. Highly recommended. more

My wife and I found the Pine Room Tavern a few weeks ago after moving to the area for career - We Love it! Really friendly mix of folks- Nashville is an artists colony, maybe that's why the patrons are so diverse - We've been coming on Sundays for the Nascar races - My wife loves their salads - She spoke with the owner- a really nice lady who is very proud of her clean kitchen and home-made food. It's beer and wine only- 21 and over - and they have bands Fridays and Saturday nights- a buddy from work always goes on the weekends, says they have the best bands around - It's got two pool tables and a horseshoe bar as well as 10 or 15 other tables - Terrific menu- I love the burgers and the chili - They've got a bluegrass band playing this weekend and we are definetely going!
