Best

This place is a little hard to find in a shopping center on Roswell rd , But worth the hunt. Pros: Best Pulled pork ever with Best Service Cons: hard to get a set sometimes

Worst

I went there with my girlfriend and saw the manager/whatever practically throw out a family of about 10 people (including several children). Pros: The sauce Cons: The meat...

Editorial review from Citysearch 7/17/2013

I've had this BBQ once before. This is definitely not the best BBQ. How this business made the list I have not idea. The meat is delicious. But, the sides taste like grade school kids were in the kitchen cooking. When you say BBQ sides are apart of the meal. Get your BBQ and go elsewhere for the sides. more

Could not taste smoke flavor 10/31/2009

I could NOT taste the smoke flavor in the meat. My husband said he could smell it on his fingers. But he could not taste it as well. The meat was tender but I wondered if they cooked it in an oven and the smoker was just for show. This BBQ place is small, clean, service was good. The atmosphere reminds you of eating in something like a cross between a regular fast food restaurant and Zaxbys. The potato salad was tasteless. The Brunswick stew was OK and the Baked Beans were OK... but they were not BBQ baked beans. Pros: Tender meat Cons: Could not taste smoke flavor in ribs or more

Best BBQ in Atlanta !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 6/15/2009

This place is a little hard to find in a shopping center on Roswell rd , But worth the hunt. Pros: Best Pulled pork ever with Best Service Cons: hard to get a set sometimes more

For the price, I expected a whole lot more 3/6/2009

I heard rave reviews about Pig n Chik, so I was excited to try out the place. I wasn't completely disappointed, but I just expected so much more for my money. He ordered a pork sandwich with a side of hush puppies, I ordered a small pork platter with two sides, and we both ordered sodas - totaling just over $17. They gave us two cans of soda and two cups full of ice. It seemed wasteful to offer both the can and a cup - why not just get a fountain dispenser? more

Mediocre food with some RUDE folk !!! 6/10/2008

I went there with my girlfriend and saw the manager/whatever practically throw out a family of about 10 people (including several children). Pros: The sauce Cons: The meat is greasy, and too salty. Black pepper overdose, but mostly TERRIBLE SERVICE! more

Good Pulled BBQ Pork, Large Portions & They Deliver! Tasty Sauce! 4/27/2007

So many BBQ places in Atlanta, so little time. We were tired, and we wanted something delivered. Who would have guessed this little place on Roswell Rd. delivers. We ordered the pulled pork-tasty, smokey, and a super large portion. Good sides-BBQ Baked Beans, Brunswick Stew, and Cole Slaw. Not the best que in the ATL, but damn good for delivery. Sauce was tasty, not too sweert, with just the right amount of que twang. Pros: Tasty Que & They Deliver! Large Portions! more

Great pulled pork 11/16/2006

I've only tried the pulled pork bbq and loved it. The sides are also very tasty. Great value and great service Pros: Great pulled pork Cons: service can be a little slow at times more

Ribs are cooked slow - not boiled - pork is pulled not sliced - music on week ends - what the hey! 8/14/2006

find it and you will enjoy your self -- i love the barbecue - nice folks - relaxed atmosphere - great music on weeke ends - i like the ribs and pulled pork best! Pros: great pig barbecue Cons: counter service more

worst service ever 3/31/2006

Ordered up two meals and sat down to wait for our food. I noticed the receipt seemed a couple bucks high so I went to the register to ask about it. I was told that the posted prices were no longer in effect, everything was one dollar more. I told the man at the register that no one had told me that, as the posted prices are on a giant board above the register. He pulled out a little menu from under the counter and told me it was there that the changes were posted. He told me there was nothing he could do about it and walked away. I have never been treated with such disrespect in my life. Food was OK. Obviously customer service is of no concern for them. Pros: good sauce Cons: service more

More of the same 3/11/2006

I like BBQ that makes a statement and that includes all facets of the meal. It appears that their smoked meats are OK but I would hardly say that the sauce and sides measure up other BBQ locations in Atlanta. I think the new Smokejack in Alpharetta is the measuring stick as well as Fat Matt's. Pros: no waiting, good pork Cons: sauce, sides more

The best BBQ in Chamblee,GA. 6/7/2005

I have ate at both Pig-N-chik restaurants the one on Roswell Rd. and the one on Preachtree Ind. Blvd.(that just opened up)and the food and service was great, but the one in Chamblee, GA. was better than the both of them. The employees at the Chamblee restaurant was more helpfull to me and my husband. I also seen the rate score 100% great job keep up the great work. Pros: More room, Smiling faces, Helpfull more

good BBQ - haven't found better in Atlanta 2/24/2005

Like most people, I highly enjoy good BBQ, and Pig-n-Chik does not disappoint. The meats are moist, sides are good, and service is friendly. I'd highly recommend the cole slaw and potato salad. I've read complaints about the sauce, but I think it's great out of the bottle - lets me get more. :) Also, the prices are more than reasonable for the generous portions. Pros: inexpensive, good meat more

Pig-N-Chick 7/13/2004

I love BBQ and was excited when AJC reviewed this BBQ place. I had to eat new Q and, bottom line- wau over-rated. Sauce was out of a bottle and Q was fair. Would not recommend and people want my BBQ opinion. Pros: Q was OK Cons: , "fixins" more

Great InTown Barbeque 6/17/2004

These fine folks have been doing a great job smoking que and pleasing a multitude of patrons the past couple of years, the first of many cropping up the last couple of years - Inside the Perimeter. The Pulled Pork, St Louis center cut Pork Ribs and Chicken have been well smoked & quite tasty. 'Even tasty Salmon for the Metro bunch. Sides are contemporary: fresh, good & wholesome; service is generally prompt. I'll admit the sauce is no great shakes, but the meats are suberb, portions generous like most 'que folks-classless classically trained chefs excepted-expect. For the record, this writer has smoked tons of 'que and ribs himself and judged same in both TX & GA; enjoyed/eaten 'que in a 100+ joints between Savannah & San Luis Opisbo. Yummmm. Pros: Truly Smoked, Huge Portions, Fine Value Cons: , Prefer Turkey Warm more

Excellent 3/7/2004

Pig-N-Chick is the best barbecue place around...they have excellent pulled pork barbecue and best of all they actually have really good side items. I just moved from Sandy Springs to Marietta and I greatly miss Pig-N-Chick. I live within a mile of Williams Bros Barbecue which i've heard people rave about, they don't compare. Williambros. barbecue isn't anywhere near as moist and the sides are terrible, not just below average, they taste like Kroger purchased side items....but i digress, Pig-N-Chick is the best barbecue in town!!! Please come to Marietta!!! Pros: Excellent Sides, Delicious Barbecues, Variety of Sauces more

very good pork bbq and sports watching 6/30/2003

The pork bbq is lightly smoked and I'd like to taste more. But I did like the pork and it is up there with Dusty's, IMO. Brunswick stew was pretty good but a little too sweet for my liking and beans were typically bland. Overall, I really liked it but it is not the best, IMO. I'll have to give it a few more tries and I had a big pork sandwich, stew, beans, and a Newcastle for under $10. Pros: pork bbq sandwich, price, casual place more

an addiction 10/3/2002

Their Pulled pork has almost become an addiction for me! Pure comfort food at its finest! Honestly can't tell you how perfect it is. Their Brunswick stew and BBQ sauce! as well as their smoked salmon salad Words fail me!! I am a picky eater.... like to eat only the best...Their constant high quality (trust me I have been there in the AM in the Evening right before close and still my order is perfect. Not to mention the friendly service has believing that I am always their special customer... seems like everyone I run into there feels the exact same way. If you don't visit or call them for a delivery, you are depriving yourself of outstanding BBQ... Pros: Friendly, Consistant, High quality Cons: too good, tend to over indulge more
