Pierce Jewelers

I recently went to Pierce Jewelers to meet with Buddy to discuss options for an old emerald gemstone that I was thinking about setting into a ring. He sold me a setting from a display case that he made by hand. The setting is nice, however, I should have been told that my old emerald stone wasn't worth setting. As a jeweler, I feel that he knew that it wasn't worth being made into jewelry due to the poor quality of the stone. I paid over $2500 for the setting and when I got the ring back, it looked awful because of the poor quality gemstone. I immediately took it to another jeweler and had them remove the emerald and replaced it with a green sapphire. The ring looks lovely now. Buddy should have told me not to set the emerald instead of giving me paperwork with an ""appraisal"" stating how poor of quality it was. He took advantage of my wallet and lack of knowledge. FYI, the new independent appraisal I have for the green sapphire, lists the cost of the ring as $750 less than Buddy priced it. You are far better off to go elsewhere and work with someone who has integrity. If I had been told the truth, I would be happy to go back and recommend them. I will NEVER return. I will shop elsewhere and save some money. They lost this customer. more

My experience face to face with Mr. Pierce and his staff was wonderful. My grandmother referred me to Pierce, as she had had quite a few pieces made for herself there. They worked with us to design a custom wedding band similar to a piece that had in stock. But when we received the ring in the mail it was NOT even close to what I had ""custom"" made. When we received the ring we also received paperwork detailing the ring and stating that all custom pieces were basically final sale, no exchanges, no refunds. We didn't mind playing the large price when we thought we were having made EXACTLY what I wanted... but now I feel extremely ripped off. We paid the price of a custom ring but that is NOT what we received. Instead of making a setting to match my engagement setting, as ordered, they used a stock ring that did not match my engagement setting at all. Also, the stones were set very high and tower over my engagement setting. I have tried to ignore all of this but I can not stand how it turned out and how it looks! I am so upset because this is my wedding band that I am supposed to wear forever... and we WAY overpaid for this! Yes it is high quality, but this is NOT the ring we designed! more

My husband and I are in our early 30's and looking to make our first wedding jewelry upgrade. After having a wonderful visit with G Thrapp Jewelers, we decided to pay Pierce Jewelers a visit for comparison and what a comparison we got. The person who spoke with us (male, long curly pony tail) gave us about 10 minutes of his time. We obviously would not be making his biggest sale of the day and we were treated as such. What a mistake--while I agree that our first upgrade would not be huge, it would not be the last upgrade. We were in search of a relationship with a jeweler that would last through the years. Needless to say, for our friends who are looking to make their next upgrade, I will never recommend. How unfortunate. more

Finally, after dealing with inferior craftsmanship, I was referred to Pierce Jewelers! They are great craftsmen who know good quality and do not cut corners. Everything they have done for me in the last few months has been perfect. That says a lot coming from a very particular person like me. Thanks Buddy and Jennie!!! more

If your looking for jewelry that is handcrafted to perfection, this is the place! Buddy Pierce is not only the store owner, but he actually designs and crafts his own unique designs. How many jewelry store owners can do that? He isn't the cheapest in town, but the quality and craftsmanship is unsurpassed. I've seen plenty of "cookie cutter" jewelry in other stores to know that Buddy's work is well worth the cost. more

My best friend refered me to a jeweler in town that hand crafts his own designs in his own store. Everywhere else I had been I would see the same old worn out commercial designs. But, Mr. Pierce was willing to listen to my ideas and make a very beautiful and one-of-a-kind pendant with a large custom cut Citrine [my birthstone=)] and surrounded with Canary yellow diamonds.
