This is where we take our children (3 and 5) on their birthdays to choose their birthday gift from us. They both love the store as do we. We feel the mass majority of toys here are of good quality and in our case we don't have to worry about getting stuck on the pink isle. The store is overflowing (in an organised way) with quality toys and is arranged in a way that you can easily work your way around instead if getting locked into one spot and stuck because your child can't see around the corner. Plus I love supporting one of our local businesses, Piccolo Mondo has made it easy. more

This is the ONLY toy store I go to any more--I can easliy find a gift for any child there. Michelle, the owner, and her staff are so helpful with suggestions, and the gift wrap is always darling, quick, and free! The toys are high quality and the owner has an excellent eye for ordering irrestistible toys that keep kids busy and interested in them. My husband and I always wind up playing with the toys ourselves! There are lots of toys that are wooden, European, and educational. Lots more toys encourage kids to make something--an airplane, a color-your-own purse, shrinky-dinks, whatever! I have told the owner her toy store makes me think of the wonderful store in the movie ""Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium"". Wow! I love this place!\r \r I first heard about this toy store from a group of friends over a morning coffee. No big deal. But I kept hearing about it from different people. Finally, I had to see it for myself! \r The ""buzz"" was right....it's a pretty darn good toy store. In fact, it's the best one I've been in for a long time.\r \r The selection is very broad, and although the store isn't huge, you could browse for hours. Really.\r They have established kind of an international theme and have a lot of European toys. The staff is friendly and seemed pretty knowledgable. \r \r The store has plenty of touch and feel demo's for kids to try. I was in with my 4 year old, who played with the train set while I looked around. \r \r I'm glad I finally went by this store...it really lived up to it's reputation. I'm really a kid at heart, so I love toy shopping for my toddler daughter and her older cousins. Piccolo Mondo is my favorite toy store bar none, and I've been around. The things I love about this place is their unique toy selection, and great service (with complimentary gift wrapping). They have a great selection of european toys, as well as some american favorites (such as Thomas the Tank Engine and Melissa and Doug toys). Piccolo Mondo isn't a cheap toystore but their prices aren't any higher than those of their bigger competitors, and all their toys are worth every penny you pay. They have toys for all ages, a book section, puzzles (i love that they have puzzles for pre-schoolers), dolls and doll houses, science and learning kits, musical instruments, infant toys (a beautiful selection of loveys), dress up clothes, wooden play food, outdoor toys and trikes; the list goes on, and every item there is extremely well made and durable. If you want to get the children in your life a wonderful gift that even you will want to play with Piccolo Mondo is the toy store for you.
