Note from Owner of Piano Mover Inc 4/3/2012

Note From the owner: It is important when hiring a piano moving company to have the correct information about the piano move. As the owner of the Piano Mover Inc, safety is paramount on every job site. This customer had never been to the delivery location and did not inform us of the correct amount of steps. We secured the piano safely in their storage facility. We were never given the opportunity to complete our service and the customer received a 30% refund on the piano move. As the owner of the Piano Mover Inc, it is our goal to perform our service to a high level of quality. My word is my bond. Bill Rogers more

Fast and Knowledgeable! 11/21/2011

Bill the Piano Mover knows pianos. He did a difficult move at my house this past Saturday in no time flat. Baby Grand off the second floor, with a tight turn at the bottom of the landing. No sweat for Bill. Not even a scratch... And I have to admit, I was a little nervous when I first called him. Fast, courteous and knowledgeable. I would hire him again in a minute. more

Worst Move Experience 5/8/2011

I recently hired Bill the piano mover to move a Steinway grand piano. I warned him about stairs at both locations and he assured me that everything would be fine. As it turned out, everything was not fine. The day of the move, he shows up with only 1 other guy. They managed to get the piano out of the old house, but then threw a fit when I again mentioned the stairs at the other location - even though I was clear that there were stairs at the target location when I first contacted him. He insisted that no stairs were mentioned and proceeded to accuse me of not communicating this to him! Anyway, he (and the other guy) managed to load the piano into the truck, but then proceeds to throw another fit when he reaches the target location because there was a 90 degree turn going up the stairs. Long story short, I ended up having to find a temporary storage facility then had to hire another moving company to complete the move. My main complaint is that I tried to disclose as much as possible about the target location. I think it's up the mover to evaluate whether or not they can take the job BEFORE actually taking the job (and, your money!). I mean, they're supposed to be the experts, right? Anyway, if you are considering a move I would NOT recommend Bill the Piano Mover unless you're moving a toy piano. I only gave him one star because I had to to write this review. (By the way, I went with Noah's Ark Moving Company and they did a superb job!) more
