I use to go to Phoenix Tropical Fish years ago and just got back into having fish again. I was so excited to come see the store I used to love and even brought my daughters there. I had raved about it to them? none of us were impressed. Obviously this fish store is not what it used to be... I would give it zero stars if I were able to.
* The owner needs to take some time and clean up behind her register and do some dusting, so the merchandise she is selling might look a little more appealing to her customers.
* The owner was too busy to really take care of the customers and had a fowl mouth, however there was a young gentleman that was very nice and took his time to help with whatever was needed.
* Pot bellied pig charged at us every time we went past it when we were looking at the ponds. There were other animals that didn't look very healthy the also.
* Ponds have a lot to be desired, even metal fencing in one of them.
* The fish tanks are dirty, lighting stinks, and very few of the tanks actually have the prices of the fish on them. In fact there were many dead fish in there.
* AND my biggest complaint? There was a tank with sick fish in there and she had aggressive, semi-aggressive, and non-aggressive fish all in the SAME tank! There was an large Oranda Goldfish that?s head was being picked at by another semi-aggressive fish! Poor thing was doing summersaults trying to get away from the other fish and bleeding? When I told the owner, her response was that ?they just need to learn to get along?. Are you kidding me????? Try putting a divider in the tank that might help?
There are too many other quality fish stores that actually care about their pets to waste your money on someone that is obviously in it for the money, not for the animals she is selling?
