I am sad to say it, but this is one of the worst places that I have lived. I spent two and a half years in college dorms and found them to be more favorable when it came to noise, maintance, and respectfulness. When I had a problem with a violent neighbor, I naturally went to the main office and spoke with the owner/manager. She simply rolled her eyes at me and claimed that we were making too much noise for the neighbor and we had to brush off his threats since he had a psycosis. She said, simply to get us out of the office, that she would call his social workers on Monday to remind him to take his meds. I doubt this ever happened.\r

When we had snow and ice storms the parking lot went unplowed. Nearly a week later when the plow did show up my boyfriend was flipped an ugly gesture because he was driving in the plowman's way. Pheonix Apartments maintains it's 800 dollar a month rent because it is a CHEAP complex that is run with no care whatsoever for it's residence. I understand that many sailors are looking for affordable off base housing; well please be warned. There are many other affordable places in the area that will actually be friendly as well. I would not reccommend this complex to anyone inless major changes in staff and managment take place.
Pros: parking, food, close to base and grocery store
Cons: unfriendly and unavailable manager; disrespectful tenents
