My friend referred me to this salon and I am happy she did! This is the first salon that I have been to in a long time where everyone is professional and they take great care of you. You receive a mini spa treatment before you get your hair cut and the ambience of the salon feels great! I am 100% satisfied with my haircut and will be going back again and again for Daryl. The entire staff are friendly and upbeat and know how to treat their customers. They also don't force buying their products on you which is a plus. They are very knowledgable about hair and answer all of your questions. I have lived in Dallas for 7 years now and bounced between salons looking for the right one and I finally found it!!! I am from Mississippi and was in Dallas on business and decided to get my hair done on the spur of the moment. I LOVE Aveda products and have never been to an Aveda salon and found Pure Salon on the internet. I called on Monday morning. The receptionist was extremely sweet and did not let me off the phone until she was sure I had everything I needed! She was excellent! I even had to call back the next day to add an eyebrow wax and she remembered me! When I walked in, she immediately welcomed me and offered me something to drink. She then introduced me to Gwen who did an EXCELLENT job on my eyebrows!!!! I went to Kellye next, and she is definately the QUEEN of COLOR!! My husband said my hair looks like a movie star's. I think it was Julie that rinsed me ( she was so sweet) and then Anne cut my hair. She was AWESOME! She took time with me and didn't do more to my hair than I could do at home. She took the time to show me what she was doing. The entire staff was very pleasant! If I could afford to go to Dallas every 3 months to get my hair done I would. I plan to go back maybe in 6 months. I must say, they have EXCELLENT customer service. Right from the receptionist who offered me a drink the minute I walked in, to the stylist who was so friendly. I've been there twice, and was worked on by 2 different stylists, and they were both great. Like some other places, the stylists are not at all territorial and they all work hand in hand with each other. Also on both days, I got my complimentary hot towel and hand massage ( which by the way, they do it well, almost as if you paid for it). The stylists there seem to knowledgeble of all the Aveda products. I had my hair colored there and had an Intense Moisture treatment thereafter. And my hair looks SO shiny, and soft. As the stylist promised, ALL my frizz is GONE! Also, they seemed to be genuinely honest about my hair. They don't just offer you any service, just to make the money. Apart from the fact that they can be a little expensive, I'd go there again in a heartbeat. Well worth the money more

The Pure staff rocks my world! Gwen is an excellent stylist with exceedingly great abilities to give you just the cut you want, Kellye is great with color and knows how to match complementing colors with what the client wants and your personality. Julie will have you melting in the stress relieving chair when she performs the stress relieving rituals (head, neck and should massage), and Daryl is a color MASTER. Great Team! I just Love my hair! I came into Pure Salon with a drab ho-hum look. When I left my hair looked shiny, healthy, and the color is amazing! Daryl is an awesome colorist, he listened to my needs... gave me all my options, and helped me figure out what ""look"" was best suited for me. I now have beautiful highlights and Lolights with about 3 different colors. He explained to me that multiple colors do not necessarily mean that the color will be wild, but on the contrary... the more colors can make brighter colors appear more natural. He was right! I have never had so many compliments! I would recommend Daryl and the Pure Staff for anyone looking for a great experience. more

Nikki did a great job on my cut and color. LOVED the hand massage and hot towels! And a big plus: a friendly reception desk! Imagine! Not so at most salons. Really like this salon. Pros: Talented stylists and friendly staff! Cons: Currently not offering spa services due to staff turnover more

I'm a girl who loves getting pampered and Pure Salon did it for me. Not only are me and my sylist soul mates! (much love to Julie) but the atmosphere was very calming and inviting. The smells of all the products really put me in a relaxed state. We laughed and just had good ol' girl fun. Oh yeah, and my hair looks great! Looking for a place inside Irving that would deliver high-quality service and give me a nice haircut, I walked in to Pure and loved the atmosphere. While waiting for my hairstylist, I was offered a refreshing beverage and promptly taken back to the salon area. My stylist, Julie, was great. She had a vibrant personality and all-in-all was just a sweet girl. It seemed as though all the staff at Pure enjoy their conversations with customers. I usually dread going to get my hair cut, but my experience at Pure was so enjoyable I'm anxious to go back. Pros: Wonderful staff, excellent environment, great service more

The Stylis/Colorist, Julie was fantastic! She listened to my concerns, gave suggestions and ideas for my facial structure (cut) and skin tone (color). She paid special attention to my color, making sure it was ""just right"" and to the standards and expectations of such a quality salon/spa. When all said and done, I walked out refreshed, feeling and looking like top model from NYC! \r Now, the complimentary hand massage... my hands and fingers are extremely sensitive. I had a great experience at Pure, the staff was very helpful and very nice. They definitly made sure I was taken care of throughout the whole visit. I thought it was great that my stylist actually took the time to talk with me about what I really wanted and didn't try to rush me in and out. They also do this hand massage thing which felt really great and made the experience really relaxing. I love all the Aveda products, they smell great and feel great too. AVEDA color has been the best thing that has happened to my hair (well, that and Damage Remedy). My color looks great, my hair feels healthy and I get compliments on it all the time. Pros: friendly and skilled staff, comfortable atmostphere more

I agree that the customer service while you are waiting and during your treatment is very nice and should be expected at a salon like Pure. However, I went in for a bikini wax and it was handled very unprofessionally. It must have been a bad day for her, but the lady let the wax get cold and dried out on my skin! She then spent the next 30 min trying to remove it, along with the hair that was caught underneath! Would have been very scary if I were my first experience. I've also had better waxes at much cheaper places. Don't know if she'll get better, but I will not return for more waxes! Pros: friendly staff Cons: waxer doesn't know what she's doing more

A wonderful Spa AND Salon. Very professional staff and if something doesn't quite live up to expectations, they will make it right (hasn't been a problem though). Just wanted to note their great attitude all around. I have used many of their services: Body Glow, Spray Tan, IPL laser treatment, Microderm, Haircut/Lowlight/Highlight (the most hair-healthy color experience ever and lots and lots of compliments!!!) Now, I'm not the kind of person that really does these kinds of things, but when I fully believe in something, I make exceptings!\r Joy is the best thing that has happended to me and my hair! I was very sceptic about getting my haircut and having it look good. I mean, come on ladies? Once you've had a bad haircut, you think your hair is a worthless case, but Joy was the solution to all my hair problems! She gave me a cut that complimented me and recommend some AVEDA products to tame the wild beast that is my hair!! I left the salon feeling like a million bucks! \r I was so please with my hair, I recommended my sister to Joy. My sister has the complete OPPOSITE hair as I do. She was blessed with thin, fine, short hair. It was amazing to see a complete transformation in my sister. I couldn't believe Joy was able to be so diverse when it comes to hair. It was good to know I have a stylist who is well rounded and does not specialize in just one type of hair. I can truely recommend anybody to her and I have the confidence that Joy will take care of them as well as she has taken care of me!\r Pros: Wonderful atmosphere! more

After moving here from another state I was in need of getting my hair cut and colored. It had been several months of getting up the courage to go and when I walked in the door I knew I was OK. Susan calmed all of my fears and gave me one of the BEST cuts I have ever had. My hair now has volume and color that go hand in hand. Susan is truely the best here in this area. more

I would like people with baby fine hair to make an appointment today with Suzan Riggs. I am a 40 year old, well educated and very knowledgble about hair. I found this women today who took my baby fine hair and made me proud to have baby fine hair. Suzan took me in as a walkin and changed the my life. She was very honest and explained to me in simple terms what I needed to do to work with the hair God gave me. She told me I need to work with my hair and not try to make it something it will not do no matter how much money I spent.. Suzan took time to give me a hair cut that fits my hair and my hair only. Can't wait for my next appointment. The staff at Pure Salon Spa are so friendly and they make you feel very comfortable when you are there. Everyone laughs a lot and that's great. I love the Aveda products. They are so earth friendly and natural. My stylist Julie, is easy to talk to, listens carefully to my requests and makes great suggestions. The salon is easy to find in a very nice location. Going there is a little time of rest and relaxation with the great warm hand massages that you get every visit. Being a nurse,, gotta love that. I have been to many Aveda Salon's In the surrounding areas, as well as many nation wide Aveda salons. I have to say that the experience I've had at Pure Salon/Spa was incredible. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted in such a way that I felt like I instantly belonged there. The receptionists were so friendly, and I was blown away when they offered me a complimentary glass of wine or a soft drink. I really loved all the ""extra's"" that come with the services... I felt so pampered! I am also impressed with the fact that it is quite obvious that their group, really are... a great TEAM. Although the atmosphere is relaxed, I could tell by the interactions from each of the staff, that they are like family. It is nice to see that in workplaces still.
