Pflugerville Montessori

Hi, My daughter was studying in the Primary class in Pflugerville Montessori and she spent around 1.5 yrs. I would like to take some time to appreciate my daughter's Ms. Alla for her teaching methods, caring , Dancing and making sure that kids are learning stuffs in a right way. more

My daughter just turned 5 Dec 1st and she has been at Pflugerville Montessori since she was 18 month old. I have been completely happy with all aspect of her care and education at this facility. The facility is clean and the teachers are very qualified. My daughter knows so many things that I would have thought were above her ability. She is reading, doing addition, identifying continents, countries, and states and much much more. If you have the opportunity, I would highly recommend enrolling your child. more

We are so blessed to have put our son in this school.Our son has become well rounded and has a great foundation that will help him excel in whatever school we put him in. We have had the experience of two teachers and both have been just amazing. Miss Najiah noticed our son had some speech issues and through both hers and Miss Devani's recommendation we put our son in speech therapy. What a blessing as he now has clear speech and you couldn't tell that he ever had issues with his speech. more

We moved to Austin from Pflugerville a few weeks ago, our boy who turned 4 a few days ago wants to go back to Pflugerville Montessori to celebrate his 4th Birthday with his teachers and friends where he spent 2 and a half years. He misses his school, his activities, his teachers and friends even today. We miss the school, the curriculum, the teachers, the staff and the system /methodology of teaching. Teachers consistently encouraged our child, fed his appetite for new and exciting learning needs, provided feedback and involved parents through out the school year via activities. Our boy was a happy camper and looked forward to go to school every day. Both of us (parents) were thoroughly satisfied with Pflugerville Montessori. Thanks to all the efforts of Ms. Devani, Ms. Meena, Ms. Leena, Ms. Maria, Ms.Dinora and others who were involved with our child's development. more

Extremely Satisfied with School! My son has been in Pflugerville Montessori for over 3 years now. He has shown tremendous improvement in all areas of early childhood development ? vocabulary and language, reading, writing, numbers, geography and overall social skills. All credit goes to the dedicated teachers, the Montessori curriculum and the class environment this school has created for children. The great thing about this school is that it is nothing like a typical day-care. It follows a popular Montessori system where teachers follow a curriculum to teach specific skills to children based on their age and ability. The flexible system allows children to pick up on things they love to do, master it and then move on to something new. I found the school environment homely & comfortable yet professional and safe. The classes are big and bright with tons of educational material. The halls are well organized. The back-yard play area is big with sections for different age groups and their corresponding activities like swings, slides, etc. It has nice shady trees and dedicated gardening areas. Overall this school gets an ALL STAR rating from me! more

My daughter got to the Montessori in Pflugerville after being at the Bright Horizon day care, well, it was not so ""bright"" an Horizon as one might think. She was really regressing there, so we moved here to Pflugerville. There, with the help of Miss Mina, Miss lina and the whole Montessori attitude, she really rose to a new level. She learned to read chapter books, count, call and recognizes all different geometry shapes, was able to call out almost every country in the world. I have been educated with the french system and what is being done at the Montessori school of Pflugerville is the closest I have seen in the US . Zoe is currently at the Cedar Park Montessori, she is doing well, but I wish she was at the Pflugerville Montessori with Miss Mina, for she is probably the best teacher any child could have. I put all 4 of my daughters through this school, one after another. The oldest started in 2003 before she turned 3 and the youngest just finished in May 2011. We have had a child in every main classroom, we have had experience with every teacher, and I cannot recommend this school highly enough. My children all entered kindergarten reading and writing well, with a good foundation in math, science and social studies, which gives them a real advantage when making that transition. The teachers are wonderful. My 3rd daughter had extreme separation anxiety and they were so patient with her, I will never forget how wonderful they were during that very stressful time. Despite those morning challenges she entered kindergarten reading chapter books because they were able to calm her down and get motivated to learn. more

My son has been going to this school for a little more than a year and he loves it, I love it. He has learned so much, he just turned 5 and he can read write, and name almost all the countries in the world. more

My child started at Pflugerville Montessori School shortly after she turned 3. During the last two years, she has learned and grown tremendously, all because of the wonderful teachers at the school. My daughter just turned 5. And she is reading at 2nd -grade level, doing math at the 1st -grade level (doing 2-digit addition, subtraction, some multiplication and division, skip counting as well) Her geometry knowledge is more than mine. She writes jounals about events that happen in her life. She knows a lot about the world around her, including geography, nature. She has learned good manners, pracitcal life skills. I have been teaching at Texas public schools for the past 10 years and I am amazed at the the progress my daughter has made under the care of the school. And during the last two years there, I know my daughter is not the smartes one in her class. I have witnessed more amazing accomplishment on my daughter's classmates. The school feels like a big family. Everybody at school, from certified teachers to teacher assistants knows my daughter's name, even most of them don't teach her. They truly care about the kids. I don't live in Pflugerville, but I researched, visited, and observed several Montessori schools near my home. I eventually chose Pflugerville Montessori, though it is a quite drive from my home. I am glad it has proven to be an excellent choice! more

My child has been at this school for almost 2 years. He turned 4 recently and he can practically read and do simple math. He has also learned great social and practical skills. At 2 1/2 he knew all of his continents and could find them on the map. My son has loved each of his teachers there. I like that the school is small and each of the teachers knows each student. They teach at the individual level and readily address any concerns a parent might raise. I have recommended this school to many of my friends and would do it again. Pros: Wonderful school. more

Pflugerville Montessori School is a well established and reputable school since 1987, with a highly qualified staff. The review above is simply from an upset parent who's child was biting and hitting fellow classmates as well as his teacher. The staff worked tirelessly in helping the child and meeting with the parents on a regular basis, discussing the behavior issues. In addition to that, upon the teacher's request the child was tested by a professional and recommended to attend suitable therapy to aid in the management of these problems. However, during the school year the behavior issues continued and the other children were getting hurt. So, the school had no choice but to protect the welfare of other children by asking the parent to take the child from the school. more

Be under no illusions. This is a daycare and a poor one, at that. They presented themselves as focusing on individual learning, but after a year our child had learned more from watching Sesame Street. Our child IS rambunctious, but they were extremely negative and critical. They complained of all sorts behaviors (biting, hitting) that we never see at home so we called the school district to have him evaluated for possible therapy. They went to the school and found that apparently my child is restricted to a corner while the other kids play. They strongly suggested that this school was harming my child so we withdrew him immediately. more
