Pet's Delight

After a lot of thought and pondering getting a puppy, I decided to come here and see if I would make a ""connection"" with any. I thoroughly thought out many factors, what I can provide a puppy...and although I really wanted to get a ""rescue"" dog, I still view this as giving a puppy a home, a life. Anyways, Pets Delight is a small little store in South Pas. They have an ARRAY of different dogs, but when I described to Allan (employee) my life style etc. he brought out the most darling little Maltese. I didn't want a little dog at all...but I'm not ready for anything larger at the moment with the town house having limited yard space. He let me stay in a room with ""Riley"" (that's what I've named him) and there was just a connection...every physical characteristic about what I wanted in a dog just went out the window and I want HIM. So Allan called up the other families to let him know that the dog is not available anymore and I am picking him up today. They have all his papers and the price ($2200) includes one complimentary vet visit. The catch, my dad happens to be their vet, so there's a couple things that could potentially work out. What I loved most was that Allan definitely loves his job and I wish there were more of him out there in these pet stores. more

A South Pas landmark that has been around for 25 years ago. I love that its right on Fair Oaks Ave. I always come by here to check out the puppies by the window. Staff is usually friendly and very helpful. I don't have any complaints about the people that work here. I had a few questions while buying fish food and they are very honest and upfront and overall friendly. The pets here are simply adorable and they range from puppies, kittens, turtles, rabbits, gerbils, hamsters, birds, everything. more

Target, Walmart, Petco, petsmart, Trader Joes etc.., all carry the same or similar items for half the price and with more selection ( l learned the hard way). As for pets, my mom got a teacup poodle and I got a teacup Pomeranian at the humane society for free (yes both purebred). Some of Pets Delights? breeders are questionable. Tthey (pets delight) seem to focus on increasing your purchase instead of directing you to only the items that apply to you. When an item doesn't work or make sense for your pet, you can't get a refund just store credit for those overpriced products and some are preowned/used (see it for yourself). Careful if the items? box is all taped up or it doesn't come in a box .....be very careful. more
