Please dont buy your puppies from Petland. My family and I have spent alot of money purchasing abour 5 puppies from them. Help put them out of business by not going there. You can get your puppies cheaper from a legit breeder. I only had one puppy from them that lived to the age of 5 and all the rest died before they were 2. They will have alot of health issues and they will tell you that they get them from the best breeders. They DONT, they get them all from puppy mills who inbreed their dogs. HELP put a stop to this get them shut down. Poor little puppies, its not fair, if you want to give a sick little puppy a good home and spend a couple thousand dollars than go for it, but BE AWARE on what you are getting into. more

Zero customer service, amazingly over-inflated prices, clueless staff that is different every week...for good reason I'm sure. more

Petland purchases their puppies from puppy mills. I have personally purchased a couple of puppies from them before I was aware of where they got their puppies from. My vet warned me after I purchased the puppies. Had I known ahead of time, I would have purchased elsewhere. Both of my puppies have health issues due to in breeding. My puppies will not have the full life that they deserve due to the in breeding effects. They both require daily meds due to the ill health effects from in breeding. more

Just because Oprah found some messed up people that are abusing dogs doesn't mean every pet store is evil. Hey guess what Oprah may be rich but she not the smartest person... I'm not saying all pet stores follow the rules are are some that don't and they deserve all the bad crap they get. But stores that actually know their breeders and do a full on visit and inspection of the breeder, their facilities and everything doesn't deserve all that crap. Dogs are like humans.. they get sick.. you can have a family that is healthy and end up with a child with cancer.. why? We don't know thats the way the cookie crumbles.. All races of humans are prone to different genetic issues.. some people start showing signs of these issues early in life others later and some just don't. Same things with dogs. Big dogs have shorter life spans and bone issues usually.. Small dogs can have diabetes and lung problems.. Mix breeds are better way to go if you want a healthier dog. But everyone like to have a pure bred dog.. thats fine.. know what health problems come with the breed. Like Bulldogs are a walking vet bill. They amazingly smart and sweet but have problems with eyes, sinus, jaw, skin, hips, knees, legs, stomach, and few other things.. but once in a while you find one that never shows any signs of any of these. It just makes me so angry when people go off on a store when they don't even know all of the facts. How would they like it if someone went around spreading rumors about them to millions of people.. they wouldn't like it now would they? I know some of the breeders that deliver dogs to this Pet Land.. and they are amazing. I have 2 dogs I got at pet stores and I have never had ONE issue with either of them.. they never got a cold or runs or anything. My Chihuahua isn't that smart.. but thats normal for the breed lol I knew that getting that dog. But I can't stand stupid people like this other lady that left review.. She even said she went to an actual breeder to get her dog and that breeder just so happen to sell its sibling to the store.. ya that really sucks what happened to her dog.. but I bet the sibling is doing just fine... Stuff happens and it sucks, but that doesn't mean that this store is to blame or even the breeder... its genetics... Also she said breeders don't breed for profit only puppy mills do.. WTF is that BS? If they weren't breeding to make money than they wouldn't be breeding hello... Just cause she mad doesn't mean she has to take it out on this store. Don't believe everything you hear about a place and don't go into a place yelling at people that work there.. you wouldn't like it if someone came in yelling at you.. if you don't like a store.. than don't go in it. Simple as that. I hate Hollister so you won't seem me walking in there... its called common sense and some people need to get some. So don't judge the store by this review or any other ones.. check it out for yourself before you start ranting about things you know nothing about please... Pros: everything Cons: nothing more
