Never again- Terrible experience and sad! 4/27/2010

I had a terrible experience at Petland. I normally adopt, but was passing by and decided to look around. Man (looked like manager/owner) was there and was rude and fishy. He told me dog was from good breeder, but didnt have paperwork. We later inquired and he still didnt have. These dogs are victims of puppymills. Very sad and dogs cramped in small cages like a piece of furniture displayed for sale. \r \r Would never go again- Shelters are amazing and offer all dogs, cats, etc! Why would anyone purchase a puppy from a puppymill. Do some research and find out for yourself- I found out that there is proof these poor puppies are breed just for profit. more

Don't Shop Here 8/2/2008

I would NEVER, EVER shop at a pet store that sells puppies or kittens. I work with a couple of dog rescue organizations and we get lots of puppy mill dogs into rescue. Want to know where they come from -- stores like Petland. A reputable breeder would NEVER sell their puppies to pet stores.\r \r If people would stop purchasing puppies and kittens from pet stores, we wouldn't have so many in rescue or dying at shelters. more
