Pete's Rubbish Hauling

I've been with Pete's Rubbish for 16 years and the change of ownership to the daughter and son-in-law most definitely does not uphold the promised, ""same continued customer service."" It's clear the son-in-law (person in the truck) has issues with where the receptacle is placed and putting it back. I live on an alley with a 4-foot-long driveway. Since I've been a customer (nor has a change been formally announced to customers) has this been a situation where you are asked to bring your receptacle to the end of the driveway on collection day. I travel a lot and only have a bag of garbage about once a month. He leaves the receptacle at the very edge of the ""driveway"" causing problems for the alley plow and left me a lovely note about not having the receptacle location plowed out properly (I have all the snow removed from a very wide area all the way down to the cement). This may seem petty, but I don't have time to worry about moving my receptacle 4 feet out and back each week and coming home to notes from the garbage hauler that previously had no problems for 16 years. It seems the level of customer service isn't a priority for these new owners. I am switching my service to Gene's Disposal Services...another locally-run business with the same pricing. more

since they changed to their daughter and son in law they are a poorly run company, do not call them out on something because they will just come and get your garbage can with out warning and then leave a message that says that is how they do business, fair and honestly, i will have to say that is not how a business should be treating their customers especially one that has been with them for a very long time, almost 15 years, i would not recommend them to anyone ever, do not go with this company horrible attitude toward their customers more

My husband and I grew up in the Chisago Lakes/Forest Lake Area and we now reside in St. Paul. We are pleasantly surprised that this small-town company has been so great. We originally had a large Twin Cities company doing our garbage and they took our can when we were late on a payment. And then they wouldn't give it back even after we paid our bill! They said we were on a bad list and they wouldn't do business with us anymore. One slight misstep and we were 'out'. Now I'm glad, because I'd much rather give my money to Pete's than some nameless company that is inflexible and rude. We will keep doing business with Pete's Rubbish as long as we can! Pete's is reasonably priced, and handles waste according to county environmental rules (some local haulers don't).\r \r They've always been very nice on the phone, and flexible and responsive with special requests. The owner is a very nice guy.\r \r Other haulers may offer a short-term discount that looks good on the surface, but read the fine print--Nobody has ever offered a long-term price lower that Pete's for us.
