If I could leave 0 stars I would too! It was extremely difficlut to get paid, each time I called I was told ""the checks were locked in the owners office"" who apparently must never come into the store, since I pratcially had to demand to get paid for merchandise that had been sold months before. I have sold to consignment stores for many years (I am in the furniture industry) I have never dealt with a business as poorly run as this one. Under no circumstances will buy or SELL anything with these people, nor should you. Cary and Raleigh have many other fine consignment stores, patornize those not Peterson's. more

If I could leave 0 Stars, I would. From a consignor stand point they are the worst ever to do business with. I used to have a business and used to do a lot of consignment. I called around and inquired into percentages splits on items and also asked about any other considerations in the contracts. Only after I had taken a Box Truck load of items, had unloaded them, was I told that they did not make payments until 60 days. And at the end of 90 days I had 2 days to pick them up or they would be donated. (This means confiscated by the store for later resale a legal way of them stealing your merchandise). Facing 3 Hours of reloading them I left them. At my store I allowed people to have merchandise for years before asking them to pick it up. This is a tough business. The high cost or rent and labor to display merchandise takes most of the profit. Not only do they confiscate your goods they claim to mail a check and them in the 5 days I called and asked for a return call to ask for a replacement check that was either not mailed or lost in the mail not once did Mr. Peterson return my call. The last time I was told that Mr. Peterson had instructed his staff not to call him regarding missing checks but to place a note in his box. A week after my check was supposed to have been mailed I have received neither a check or a phone call. Bad Business with a Bad Attitude towards their consignors. more
