I only got a haircut. No highlights, or anything else done to my hair, or any of their spa services.
But I have been here before and been disappointed.
I went with pictures this time because I thought maybe I didn't explain myself well, and this way I will give them another chance--they are so close to where I live--I really wanted this to work!
I don't think I was asking for anything too hard--I just wanted alot of layers, with some length, and some shorter ones, and I wanted my face to be framed.
What I got was: layers, but they were all long, no face-frame, and a really disinterested hairdresser. I tried any topic I could to engage from time to time, but after a while, it was annoying that he didn't make any effort. I even asked about some of the products and treatments they offered, and he didn't have any answers. He literally didn't know, said so, and continued to scald my hair as he blow-dried it.
I have to say, it is almost the same haircut I got last time I went there, though the other time I went I got the most experienced dresser--but the cut was almost identical, so maybe she teaches them the one kind of layered cut for long hair, and that's what they do.
I don't know. All I know is that I'm not going back for a third try. This had good reviews, so I went, but I was disappointed.
I do want a nice cut, I don't want to pay $150, but I'm not going to the bargain basement either, because I have been there, done that, and you just wind up feeling bad. I figure for $40 more I could get something decent.
This is almost decent. It's not horrible, by any means, but it's not what I asked for, and I will have to make the drive to Brickell or South Miami next time.
