Working with Peter Barnes has been a pleasure. My husband and I truly felt like he cared about our needs and went above and beyond with helping us through the mortgage approval process. He got us a wonderful rate and an absolutely wonderful home. He was very thorough in explaining everything we needed to know and answered all of our questions. I'd definitely recommend him. more

A detail-oriented, patient, great service! 3/31/2014

We used Peter Barns - RPM Mortgage Berkeley for the first time, and Peter is always very polite and very responsive. He is always calling to follow-up on paperwork or any questions. Buying a house is a long process. There's a lot of paperwork and follow-up that needs to be done with yourself and with Peter, which requires a lot of patience. Peter just helps you through that whole process. He made it really easy for us. He pretty much just guided us, which was nice. I'd highly recommend him! more

He made a complicated process simple 3/26/2014

I appreciated Peter Barnes' attention to detail and his level of communication. He kept me in the loop at all critical points. I felt like I knew what was going on every step of the process. There were no surprises that came up. Peter was always ahead of it letting me know what was coming up. He kept me well-informed and I felt like it was a really easy process. Peter Barnes - RPM Mortgage Berkeley was very supportive when I was buying my house. Peter is extremely knowledgeable and supportive. He was always available, and he would call me back if we missed on another. He met with me to explain things, which I found helpful since I was buying the home on my own. It was challenging to think about and figure out how I could meet the demands of buying a house. Peter was very helpful, and he made sure I could succeed in what I wanted to do. more

Great service and no intimidation! 1/23/2014

I had a great experience with Peter Barnes - RPM Mortgage Berkeley. I was a first time home buyer, and Peter really took the time to explain everything that was going on. I didn't get lost in the jargon. Every step of the way I could count on Peter to let me know if any new developments occurred or if there was something happening I could move on. Peter was friendly and responsive. Going into it for the first time, you're afraid of what you don't know. But I didn't feel like I had any reservations about working with him. more

Very personal service and he goes the extra step 1/13/2014

I was refinancing my house with Peter Barnes. I was going through a divorce and Peter was very helpful because it was a fairly complicated process where things weren't found in time. He was able to lock in a good rate and then extend it when it was needed. more

Strongly recommended 12/17/2013

I feel very lucky to have found Peter Barnes. He gave me an absolutely great rate and is ever so professional. Most importantly, he put things into action for me and made it all the more easier to finance my home mortgage. Considering all the paperwork involved, he's very understanding through the whole process. I really appreciated his level of straightforwardness and he made me feel very secure by staying ahead of potential problems. more

Efficient and professional and friendly 12/11/2013

Peter Barnes did a refinance on our home. He was recommended to us from a close friend who had used him for refinancing previous. We had some credit challenges in that I am self-employed and my husband is a regular W-2 employee so we wanted to refinance where we could use both our incomes if necessary or just my husband's income if possible. Peter got our refinance done in six weeks. It was unbelievably fast, clear, and easy. When I met him at the closing, I liked him so much that we've had dinner on a somewhat regular basis. more

The mortgage broker I had, Peter Barnes, was really helpful and on top of things. I could have gotten a lower interest rate but I don't believe that was RPM's fault. It's part of the regulations. more

Peter Barnes was very responsive to all of my questions. My wife and I could call him at any time and, even if it was the weekend, he would still get back to us. He kept us in the loop with all decisions and developments. This was a refinance. We had previously gotten our first mortgage with him. We trust him. He's very professional and is looking out for you. He does his best to get the best mortgage for you. more
