Dont bother bringing your pet for pics at Petco southaven! Most frustrating experience ever! Signed up weeks ago to have my dogs pics done this afternoon. Noticed that I had a missed call from them this morning, I assumed it was a call to confirm my appt. (was told Id get a call) they didnt leave a message so I called them back and asked if they were just calling to confirm. Some GED bimbo put me on hold forever, came back on the line and was like 'yea, that was just to confirm' ok, great. Soooo, arrive at my appt. Time and guess what?? No photographer, was told by yet another retard employee that pics were NEXT weekend! What?? Finally spoke to the manager after forever and was told that pics were cancelled today and they would fit me in sat or sun. Seriously? Then why did I get a confirmation call? Was told they thought they didnt have any appointments today to they just cancelled today. Yeah right! I know exactly what happend. This jerk off photographer prob saw I was his only appt for the day and decided it wasnt worth the hassel to roll outta bed today and would just knock em' all out sat or sun. ( Gee, thats some integrity ya got there sir!) These employees and the manager need to get their act together or they are gonna lose a lot more cutomers! I'll be strictly useing Hollywood Feed down the road from now on. These oafs will not be getting any more of my business! more

When I walk through this store I feel so bad for the animals. The bird cages are never cleaned like they should be and the parakeets are overcrowded. If other Petco Store can keep the birds water,toys,food bowl,and the inside of the cage clean you would think this on could too. But Nope. The birds don't look happy The manager is rude and has lost his temper on more than one occasion while I was in his store at various workers over various things. Tonight he got upset with me over the phone when asking about a chinchilla I had just purchased and how we wanted another baby one. SO I was asking him a few things and he got really impatient with me and spoke over me to the point that my daughter who was sitting in our Lazy Boy a few feet a way from where I was sitting on the sofa could hear him raising his voice as well as him talking over me as I tried to talk. I finally got fed up given that I had just spent 256.00 at his store the day before for a baby beige chinchilla(200 for the chin and the rest for his food and some play thing for him) and informed him I would be taking my business elsewhere where they don't get irritated with their customers. I will not deal with this PETCO anymore and do plan on going to another store. more

my son was bitten by a evil tempered corgi mix they had on pet adoption day there. he is now afraid of small dogs! the dog actually snarled at several other people while we were still in the store. more

This grooming team is tops. They take care of you pet and do a great job in grooming. Their grooming manager has 20 yrs experience and makes sure that all the dogs in her shop receive the proper cut before leaving! This is why they have such a large clientele list. more
