Petco Animal Supplies

It is very frustrating to take children into this store. You can only go if you have a lot of time and you need no help for a store worker. They really need to put some chairs through out the store. If we ask for help the wait is usually 15 - 20 minutes. \r \r I also find it strange that if you are making a purchase, they ask you what it's for - and actually argue with you about your choice. It's not customer care - its arguing. It's not friendly advice either.\r \r I so wish PetSmart was closer. more

This review is for the on-site vaccination service offered by Petco. While Petco's prices are a little steep, I buy some pet supplies there that I can't find elsewhere and I've never had a problem with the store itself. However, due to financial reasons, I took my two cats to the Petco in Pearland to get their annual rabies vaccinations, rather than going to my usual vet. The veterinarian giving the vaccinations was very rough with several animals ahead of us, causing two small dogs directly ahead of us in line to start howling when he handled them to give them their shots. When I brought my cats to the table where the vet was working, he did not wait for me to remove them from their carriers; instead, he reached in, grabbed them by their skin and fur on their back and dragged them out of their carriers. My cats are both females, very docile, not combative at all, and they will go in and out of carriers with no problem if I handle them. This vet acted like he didn't like animals and didn't want to be there working with them. My cats aren't used to being manhandled like that, and I will NEVER take my pets back to Petco for veterinary services. While I was waiting to pay my bill, I observed him treating other dogs and cats in carriers the same way. Petco should be ashamed that they have such a person mistreating pets in their store, and it's unbelievable that such a person could be a veterinarian. more

I don't understand why people have nasty things to say about the Pearland Petco. They always welcome us with a smile,and go out of they're way to help. To the people that have bad things to say about them it might just be you! Maybe yall are just unhappy people that needs to slow down and enjoy life a little. more

The Pearland Petco Grooming has always been great to my Cleo.The first time I went in to petco was to grab a few things for cleo when she was a puppy. I stepped into the groom shop to ask a question, Kim was there and answered it.From then on the Pearland Petco Grooming was home to us. We feel welcomed everytime and Kim always pre sets my appointments for every six weeks and gives me a call a few days before to remind me.That works really well do to my busy schedule. I recommend everybody to do the same to assure you get an appointment because everybody wants to have there dogs groomed by a person that will treat them as their own. more

This is the worst pet store I've ever had the displeasure of visiting, I only go to petco because petsmart is halfway to china. The management is rude and unhelpul much like the staff. Every time I go they either don't have any cricket bags or they don't have any small animal boxes and I'm usually waiting for help for at least 20 to 30 minutes. Their snakes have mites on. A regular basis, I had to say something about how infested they looked before they did anything with them. Terrible store definetly needs improvement. more

I hate the service in the grooming department! Twice now they have mis-recorded my appointment. I took off work only to bring my dog over at the appointed time and they either had it recorded on the wrong date or just didn't have it recorded at all! And when I make any appointment, I have them repeat the time and date back to me. They still messed up!! I'll never go there again. I'll drive further to someplace else. more

I absolutely hate going to this store. The only reason I do is because I have to get a special food for my cat and they are so much closer than PetSmart. Every single time I go, I have to wait and wait to be checked out. They always have atleast 4 or 5 people on duty but it seems only one person is actually WORKING. Even if there are only two people in line at the checkout, we wait. It takes over five minutes per transaction. The employees are like helpless zombies. We were seriously considering adopting a cat they had but no one knew were the key to the cage was and the manager wouldn't get off the phone to help. After waiting over twenty minutes, we left. PROS: Location CONS: Terrible customer service more
