Pet Paradise

This resort, if you want to call it that, is very expensive and the dogs are not treated well. When the dog owners come in the staff are friendly but when the dog owners are not around these dogs are treated badly. I know all this from a prior employee. I know the owner from a prior employer and she is rude and mean and not truthful. She does not treat her employees well unless they are on a higher level of employment. The staff I have spoken to have confirmed what I am writing. I will never take my dogs there although I do like the groomer. She is very nice and does a wonderful job. That's the only thing nice I can say about that place. more

Please do not take your dog to Enchantment if you are expecting good customer service. This place is extremely cold and unfriendly. The 2 gals at the front desk in the afternoon who you give your money too, are extremely rude, cold as ice and very robotic. They do not greet you, know your name or acknowledge your dog by their name. There are no ""Thank Yous"" or even a ""Hello"" All day camp is really only 2 sessions. One in the morning for 2 1/2 hours and one in the afternoon for 2 1/2 hours. The dogs are in their rooms (which you are not allowed to see during a tour) more than they are in camp. My dog always seems to come back sick. When I reported it, they did not care. If you board your dog there, they are alone from 7:00pm to morning. No one is in the building in case of an emergency or fire. It is near impossible to talk to the general manager even if you request to talk to her. When you call and ask for her, you are told she is behind closed doors, not available and you are transferred to someone else. I tried contacting the owner because I had no success with the general manager and was told I had to go through the front desk and the owner had limited access to the internet. Really, a small business owner with no access to the internet? When I finally reached the owner, through a different means, she had no interest in hearing about my experience. It is hard to believe an owner after you have spent thousands of dollars supporting her small local business where customers are key to success does not care. However, it did put everything in prespective.....it starts from the top. Now I know why the general manager and staff are extremely cold, robotic and do not care. If you are a dog lover and looking for a warm friendly place to take your dog where the staff will remember your name and most importantly your dogs name, this is definately not the place to go. more

The people at Enchantment take rude to a whole new level. I took my dog there last month for boarding before taking a trip to Mexico for my grandmothers funeral. When I picked him up the lady at the front desk was very snippy towards me. I don't know, maybe they didn't like my dog for some reason (I don't see why not, he's adorable and very loving.) Anyway, I won't be taking my baby there any longer if the people who work there are are going to be downright rude to a paying customer (and the place ain't cheap, that's for sure!). I was very disappointed, as the place is very new, clean, and well kept, but they have serious customer service problems they need to address or their business will surely go down the tubes. more

We have a very large dog that seems to enjoy the stay, groomers do a great job with him when he stays for a bath / brush. But, when he's there overnight +, he gets "kennel elbow", to the point of bleeding. He does have a bed that he loves (which would prevent this), but they do not allow pet beds due to sanitary concerns, so he sleeps on the hard kennel floor. I would hope our next stay addresses this somehow. (maybe they changed their policy??) Pros: Professional staff Cons: No pet beds more

I have taken our dog to enchantment from the moment we adopted him from a rescue organization in 2006. We got adequate training, although I am not in favor of treats for everything,but Rusty passed his Canine Good citizenship course. Rusty is very gregarious and loves to interact with other dogs, which he does in other day care situations in Rio Rancho and also in AZ where we have another house. We have always boarded Rusty at Enchantment and have always wanted him to be in "camp" rather than in a cage. This last time, he was refused for camp because he may have tried to jump the fence. I tried to get more details, but no one has returned my calls. I hope we don't have to leave him there anymore. A nice place, but very poor customer relations. I take my dog there for day camp, boarding and grooming and he loves it. He is excited when we arrive ans see where he is going. People are friendly, prices are reasonable and the groomers and handlers are great. I HIGHLY recommend it. Can't wait to see when all the renovations are done!! Pros: Services, environment, people, value Cons: Not a one i can think of more
