Pet Pals looked after our dog (first child) Chariie for 12 years. Our dog walker always came to take her out when scheduled (regardless of weather), gave her tons of love and more exercise and socialization than we could have hoped for. They became part of our family, and understood how important Charlie was to us. When they would speak about her, it was like she was part of their family too. I don't know what the motivation was for the reviewer who left negative comments, but I can only imagine that they were trying to benefit in some way from leaving a bad review. We have had Pet Pals of Winchester looking after our golden retriever Shadow for the last 15 years. They have done a wonderful job caring for him and have gone out of their way to be friendly and helpful. Shadow always looks forward to his walks with them and we know we can trust Pet Pals completely with his care and safety when we're not around. We have simply never had any negative issues with them and frankly can't imagine what the person who wrote the negative review is talking about. There are many other dog walking companies in the Winchester area, apparently this person is running one or trying to start one, and running into people unwilling to switch from our service. I had a similar BAD experience to Lovedirtypaws and short of legal action was not able to receive any sort of compensation for my neglected pet. You might never have a problem with them but I've lived in Winchester a long time and know more than a few people that no longer use Pet Pals because of negative experiences. I had used their services myself for two years before I had a problem. When I did, I was ignored and finally told it was not their problem that they had ""no record"" of the issue! I would highly NOT recommend them! (I put in a good rating with the stars because my earlier view mysteriously wasn't listed! Wondering if this will show it, and therefore the truth!) I had the worst experience EVER with this company! They seem to have a monopoly on Winchester, none of the other companies I called seemed to work in this town! That should have been the first red flag but after calling the owner David and meeting and giving him a key to my home NO ONE CAME TO MY HOUSE for the THREE DAYS I was away!!!! A friend happened to stop by my house and came in to the mess my dog and cat had been forced to make! When I called to address the problem NONE of my calls were EVER RETURNED! I go to a group now in the morning with a bunch of dog owners and have heard even more sad stories like mine! People with dogs that have been brought home injured without being told about any accident or bite! And other people walking their dogs in the woods and being accosted by 13+ dogs off least and out of control by some of these dog walkers! And when they report it to the Dog Officer of Winchester, he does nothing! BE FOREWARNED, this company is HORRIBLE!!!!!!! Pros: none! Cons: EVERYTHING more

My family and I had an incredible experience with Pet Pals of Winchester. Dave and his employees are amazing. They treated my dog like he was one of their own, and our dog has never been happier. We have a small dog and were concerned about Dog Day cares mixing the large and small dogs. Pet Pals has done a great job of easing our concerns due to their professional and experienced staff. They treat your dog like part of thier family. Our dog is always overly excited with they come to pick him up.
