Pet Medical Center

Wow! People upset over 45.00 for a groom?! Try any other clinic in the Plano/Frisco area and you'll change your mind about prices. A pet is expensive and you should understand that BEFORE you get a puppy but Pet Medical Center in Frisco is not expensive. Call around and you will not beat the prices or the service. Most places charge over 200.00 for my cat's yearly shots but not these guys. The VitalPet changes have improved the clinic, the people and how I am treated when I take my cat in. In the past, some employees were rude but all that is so much better. Kendra at the front desk is great and I love Heather and Jenny. They really care about pets. It is obvious. Dr Kelley and Dr Vance are great, too. If you are looking for a new veterinary clinic, try this one. Your pet and your purse will thank you. more

Let me start out by saying, this USED to be a good vet clinic and grooming facility. It has greatly gone downhill with the rude vet techs and vets. I took my new puppy here for all 3 sets of his shots and it was very unwelcoming. I took him here for his first groom and he did not come home looking like I had asked...or the same breed of dog for that matter. I wonder how many dogs they've actually done that have come back again, because my dog will not be coming back; ESPECIALLY for $45. more

sometimes i wonder why people have pets and then complain about vet bills... anyway... i have been using pet medical center since they were frisco vet clinic way back when... i live in the colony now and i still drive to frisco because i know they are competent and they do care... my favorite nurse at this clinic is amy... i always ask for her if i can because she has worked there as long as i can remember and she is grrreat!!! this clinic does all they can to make sure your animal has good preventative care but is also there in any acute crisis!!! the boarding facility is also always available to take amazing care of my animals when i am away... i have never had a problem in all my years of boarding my animals... the only thing is you have to make reservations in advance at Christmas and new years!!!! they fill up quick because they are so good... and it also makes me at ease to know there is always a vet around where my animals are boarding!!! more

yes this is a very busy clinic... but it is very busy for a reason... the veterinarians are good at what they do and they truly care... my parents have been using dr mays for about 15 years and i now use him as well.... dr mays is always willing to work with his patients to take care of their pets and he does not push any kind of care that his patients do not want... you cannot beat the hours of operation.... i always know they will be open in an emergency and will have my animals information on file.... linda is the groomer and she is as nice as they come... i continue to compare her prices with the locals and for the job she does she cannot be beat... i also like the fact that there are now several female veterinarians that work in that office... overall... this is a busy clinic but it is because they work hard to take care of their customers and they do a great job at it more

I recently came home from church to find my dog lying on the floor unable to move. I was so frantic I forgot that it was Sunday and I called the vet I normally use. Of course they were closed so I called a friend who told me her vet is 24 hours. I called Pet Medical Center in Frisco to let them know I was coming. When I arrived, they were there to help me get my baby in the clinic. The veterinarian was right there ready to assess Lucy and see what was the matter. I was so impressed with the emergency care that Dr. Kelley gave me and my baby that I started using them as my vet. I have since met Dr. Meier and Dr. Mays and they are both amazing and caring. I also have 3 neighbors who are using them since my emergency visit and they have all been happy with this clinic as well... more

As the clinic has grown it has become more about the money I agree with the previous post. The charges are VERY HIGH & get higher every time I go. I have dealt with incompetence from the staff. They charge unnecessary for vaccinations. What use to be once a year, is now every 6 months. I researched the internet & found this practice just a way to generate more money. I am done with them.!!! The groomer Linda is nice, but I know she's not the one getting the $48.00+ dollars they charge for each dog that is groomed. I hope karma comes back to bite them. As far a the post from Diane F. - I'll pray she will see the light. I will tell anyone who asks about a vet here in Frisco & it won't be Pet Medical Center. I hear Dr. Marcum has a great reputaion,that's where I will be going from now on. more

I have been taking both of my dogs there for over 7 years. As the clinic has grown, they have become less personable and more like a vet mill trying to get as many customers in and out a day as they can. If I were an owner I would try to do the same however, their customer service is very poor because of this. Each time I go, I have to thoroughly review the charges before paying. Without fail, I find something wrong EVERY time and have to get them to correct it. Then today, I was questioning why a monthly shot increased and was informed that they had not been charging me for the OSHA Fee. This was after I questioned why I was being double charged. They corrected that but I was in shock about the OSHA fee this time. I was confused about where I was. Surely I was getting my oil changed at Jiffy Lube If you can deal with the incompetent staff and are happy with 5 minutes of Vet time you might like them. For me, i'm on the hunt for a new one. Can't deal with it anymore. Pros: Vets are polite and helpful; They will price match meds. Cons: Staff are incompetent and seem to intentionally mis-charge more
