Pet Clips

This place needs customer service and professionalism training. I was shocked that the staff member was unprofessional, disorganized, and defensive. I would never trust someone like this to take care of my pet. I also called around and this place is not cheaper than other options. I will be taking my pet to a place where the staff values their jobs and they value my business. more

Dropped my dog off at 10AM but 4:30PM they had managed to give him a bath. 6 and 1/2 hours is too long for an animal to be caged. When I went to get him, he was still damp. The employees were frantically trying to brush him when I arrived and seemed to think it was my fault that he was not cooperating. I will never take my dog there again. And I would recommend to any one who cares anything about their pets not to take them their either. more

I have been taking my pets to Pet Clips for years! Allie and Lauren are very delightful women who do a fabulous job! I have no complaints and would recommend Pet Clips to anyone anytime! more

I wouldn't take my left shoe to this place. I thought that I was upgrading when I decided to take my miniature poodle to Pet Clips instead of Petco or the American Boarding Kennel...MAN WAS I WRONG!!! I looked at the reviews and thought that this would be a good place, but when I called I learned of the first problem...They do their grooming in rotations so it can take from 4 to 6 hours for the whole process and they do not check that all of the animals are vaccinated!!!! However, the real reason why I am never going again is the fact that the day after my dog was groomed, I noticed that he had scabs on both sides of his nose and by his THOAT where the groomer cut him way too low!!! The combination of them not checking for vaccinations and that my poor dog had a wound while being groomed there, means I will be going to the vet to get him a booster. So take your pets at their own risk!!!! more

Allie and the gang do a great job on all dogs... you can pick the type of trim and they will work with you... as for the flake that left the bad comment I will trim your little two pound dog in 2 minutes and charge you very little. Anyone with a cocker spaniel's, know how temperamental they are. From the ears to just being touched in general they are sensitive. My first Cocker RIP Ace like all cockers had chronic ear problems. Ally took great care of Ace all the way up till his passing. He was a very hard dog to deal with and he loved going to get his hair cut. Now I have Bart and Rufus. Bart same as Ace enjoys his day at Pet Clips. Rufus is my Black Lab and retired K-9 he is just a one person kind of guy. Most K-9’s are. I can’t say anything bad about the service I got and still receive with the three I have taken to Pet Clips. The price is nice and for people saying their dogs are locked up for hours it might be the case but that is anywhere you go to get groomed and I know for a fact it’s for their safety. They are safe well groomed and dry when they leave. I always come early and my retired partner and his brother are always ready to go home. I have referred many Friends and they have said they love the service. Once and a While I have been able to drop Bart in at the Last minute and they have always fit Bart in for a shampoo and cut. Pros: Staff is always helpful, Friendly and Great prices. Cons: Nothing in 8 years! more

This was out first experience with a groomer - I made an appointment for my 2 lb dog almost 2 weeks in advance - over 5 hours later she was ready!!! 5 hours for a 2lb dog with an Appointment!!!!?????!!!! No way this is normal! No way does it take over 5 hours to groom 2lb dog - did I mention we had an appt too!!!!? I will never return here for my dog to sit in a kennel for 5 hours just to get a hair cut! Hire more help or don't take on more than you can or do the dogs with the appts FIRST! Our large, furry dogs have been groomed here for many years and they do a great job de-furring them. They do it all, bath, brush, nails, and a nice scarf at the end. They smell great and lose about 10 pounds of fur each time. Nice job, pet clips! Pros: flexible with appointments, do a good job more

For the past 10 years I have taken my dogs to Pet clips. Alley has always has a smile and my two Cockers and my two Labradors have never had any problems after leaving, unlike another place I took them in the past. If you care about your pets this is the place that takes care of them 100 percent. Too put out there one of my cockers is very touchy if I could say and they have worked with his disability. Pros: Smiles and ease to get animals in. Fearless Kittys that are plesent and fluffy. Cons: Have none that come to mind after 10 years. more

Never had a poor experience here. I have brought in my Lab, Husky, Boxer and cat here with no problems. I have used the nail clipping services, grooming services as well as the boarding service. Best place in town! Pros: Everything, it seems Cons: I'm struggling to put something here... Maybe they could paint the place? more

I am an owner of 2 pomeranians. When I brought my dogs to Pet Clips, both times my poms had a very bad experience.The employee that was assisting me when I went in to drop off my pomeranian today was very rude. She had a very big attitude when I stated that I did not have an appointment and if they have time to groom my pom. She asked me what I wanted done to my Pom, i stated clearly I DO NOT want any hair to be cut off, that I just want the hairs sticking out to be cleaned up. She stated that will be fine, that the coat on Pomeranians should never be cut short, otherwise they will have hair damage. When I went in to pick my pom, his hair was buzzed to an inch. I was very unsatisfied and I'm sure my pom was not too happy himself. The first time this happened was to my oter Pom over a year ago. Since that happened the first time, I decided that I will be grooming them. the only reason why I brought my other Pom in this time was because I did not have the time to groom him and will be out of town. DO NOT BRING OUR POMERANIAN TO PET CLIPS!!! The only reason why they are getting a star is because I have to, to proceed with this review. We have a 20+ pound Shih Tzu (solid muscle - mutant, I guess) that we aquired at age 2. He is great with us, but very antisocial & fears nothing. This breed was developed long ago in China as guard dogs, and ours lives & breathes that quality. \r \r We tried several groomers when we got him, and they all declined - except this one. Either Allie has a special gift, or she likes a challenge. Ty has been going there for 6+ years now, and all you have to do is whisper to him the word ""Allie"", and he is at the door waiting! She has a special bond with Ty, and every time she grooms him he loves it! \r \r I would highly recommend Pet Clips in Apple Valley to anyone - very friendly, professional service. Other groomers should take lessons from Allie!\r \r Lars Pros: Allie always does a great job - Ty loves going there. Cons: Absolutely none. more

We have been going to PetClips for almost 8 years ~ Allie has always taken great care of our dog & so has everyone else in the shop. There have been several times when they have discovered our dog has a slight ear infection & and they tell us right away when we get there. Our dog always looks fabulous when we pick her up & we have always been able to get her in for a haircut on short notice. \r We all LOVE PetClips and will continue to recommend them to family and friends!! \r \r THANKS PetClips for taking such great care of our pet!!! more

Very friendly and courteous staff that have always treated my dog and those of my family with care and a real ""personal"" touch. They seem to truly like the work and the animals they care for. Pros: Good clean facility and friendly staff. Cons: Not open early enough for early hour workers. more

Love these guys! I brought our former dog (passed away) here for years and she was always treated wonderful. She was a toy poodle and loved to go here. We now have a shihpoo and they do a wonderful job with her. I tried lots of groomers, and these guys know their stuff! more

I had brought my two Akitas in for grooming, we had never been here before. Mikko is 115lbs and Hana is 65lbs. When I went to pick them up, they were both jammed into a crate, which was not big enough for both of them. Hana was laying down, and Mikko only had room to stand, but couldn't even put his head up. He was not able to sit, because the height of the crate was too low. I do not know how long they were like that, but 5 minutes, is 5 minutes too long. When my husband called to ask what the deal was, we didn't even get a ""sorry"". They did not seem to understand what they did was wrong. If one of the dogs would have gotten anymore anxious, then they already were, they could have had a scuffle, and two dogs in such a small area is not good! Pros: The only reason they get one star, is because they came back to me clean Cons: Bad customer service, make bad choices, no common sense more

this is a great place to take your pet to be groomed. The staff really knows what they are doing and really know how to handle pets. The finished dogs look wonderful and my dog loves to go there! Pros: clean open salon, can see what is going on more
