Best deli period! 3/13/2003

the largest and best deli sandwiches in chicago. only drawback is short operating hours. if you're in the loop before the end of lunch dont miss it. the closest thing to a new york style deli! more

Lot's of food, but where's the taste? 3/1/2003

Sandwiches with tasteless yellow mustard, no hot peppers available, served on what looks & tastes like Wonderbread. I was stoked to try this place after reading all the great reviews, and I did enjoy it the first time I went.. but it's way overhyped. The people posting rave reviews on here seem to be impressed mostly by Perry's excess when it comes to sandwich fillings. Potbelly's is better. Pros: Giant portions Cons: Boring food more

The Best In Chicago! 2/7/2003

Perry's is a do-not-miss! Make sure to stop there while in Chicago more

Who's Hungry?? 2/5/2003

Perry's should definitely be #1. Potbelly's can keep their live singers and Heaven on Seven can put away their hot sauces. Along with a bigger sandwich than any other place on the list, Perry's is a FUN place to go in the middle of the day. Where else can you get abused for using a cell phone or stretch your mind answering obtuse questions at the whim of a cranky owner? Perry's! Perry's! Perry's!!! GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Pros: Huge sandwiches, Fun Patrons/Help, Quick In & Out Cons: Too few tables?, Few vegetarian items, Too far from my work more

A Chicago institution 1/9/2003

Perry's has the best sandwiches, hand's down, in the loop (downtown Chicago). It is definately worth the walk from anywhere. The portions are of storied proportion - a half sandwich will more than fill an adult man, a full sandwich could feed a family of 4. The atmosphere is unlike any other resturant anywhere, it makes the long wait in line enjoyable. Any time I'm downtown I go to Perry's. Pros: fun, great food, a Chicago institution Cons: crowded, only one location more

Perry's rocks 11/7/2002

Personality. That alone makes this place great. The sandwiches are huge, the bread is good and the line moves fast. Pros: Fast, Huge sandwiches Cons: No cell phones more

Sandwich Heaven 11/7/2002

Perry's has the best sandwiches in Chicago. Bring your appetite and your cash. Visa isn't everywhere you want to be! more

big sandwiches no BS 9/11/2002

this place is fabulous... HUGE sandwiches, great shakes..... and tongue and cheek service. leave the cell phone at home. more

Look at the size of that thing! 8/7/2002

Perry's Deli has the tallest sandwiches I have ever seen. Piled three layers high, they'll hardly fit in your mouth. I prefer the Caveat Emptor or K.O. Club myself. If you have a small appetite don't bother, otherwise hasten to Perry's Deli! Oh, remember to turn off your cell phone and be sure to try one of their old-fashioned malts or shakes. Pros: Great taste, Enormous portions, Fresh ingredients Cons: Limited seating, Gets crowded, Closes early more
