pretty ok coffee and lattes (and always nice to have it in a mug) and refreshingly good sandwiches. nice cozy atmosphere. the biggest negative i think is the service. usually when i go in there i'm treated with either indifference or hostility, as if i were unjustly forcing the servers to help me when i ordered. it's obvious the managers or owners don't care a whole lot about how their staff acts and it doesn't seem like there's any consistency to their training. i will say however, that there are some bright spots, such as the seemingly only boy who works there, whose smile alone brightens your day, but is backed up by a demeanor and attitude that gives the impression that he actually cares about you and that your experience actually means something to him. there are also a couple of quiet but friendly girls who are the epitome of what a good barista should be, again caring about your experience, and i only hope the owners see this and move toward hiring this type of person in the future. one of them even drew (or almost drew) a leaf with my latte milk. these are the little charms that set an independent coffee shop apart from the rest, and i hope the owners see this and fix the problems in service in the future.
