Perks Coffeehouse

Perks has delicious sandwiches and salads. Everything always tastes so fresh. The prices are reasonable. The staff is the only negative. I've been in many times and each time the staff is eiher apathetic or hostile. more

pretty ok coffee and lattes (and always nice to have it in a mug) and refreshingly good sandwiches. nice cozy atmosphere. the biggest negative i think is the service. usually when i go in there i'm treated with either indifference or hostility, as if i were unjustly forcing the servers to help me when i ordered. it's obvious the managers or owners don't care a whole lot about how their staff acts and it doesn't seem like there's any consistency to their training. i will say however, that there are some bright spots, such as the seemingly only boy who works there, whose smile alone brightens your day, but is backed up by a demeanor and attitude that gives the impression that he actually cares about you and that your experience actually means something to him. there are also a couple of quiet but friendly girls who are the epitome of what a good barista should be, again caring about your experience, and i only hope the owners see this and move toward hiring this type of person in the future. one of them even drew (or almost drew) a leaf with my latte milk. these are the little charms that set an independent coffee shop apart from the rest, and i hope the owners see this and fix the problems in service in the future. more

There is a girl working behind the counter who looks like she hasn't showered in a month, and wears awful belly shirts which do not cover her obese looking frame...plus, she's rude. I almost didn't want to eat when she waited on me, but I figured that I paid out the ass for the food so I might as well... The food was okay, a little salty for my taste. The "owners" were yelling at staff in front of customers. I like the other girls who worked there, didn't see any guys though. I wouldn't recommend going to Perks in the daytime. Night time is pretty cool. more

They have a great expresso machine but the customer service was really bad and very inconsistent ... one time I got served old expresso that had been sitting around or they did not no how to bill me or make the cup of coffee I had asked for. more

the owner of this place is so rude. he always talks down to his employees infront of the customers. more

And we've recently gotten one on Rte 1. That said, when they're open, and I have time to sit and relax... I'd rather go to Perks. Their coffees are great and their tea selection is far better than Starbucks. On many nights they have live entertainment, but, really, locals often provide entertainment of their own. Sit in the window and watch peopel pass by or sit in a table toward the back for a private moment. Go to Perks. Oh, and get that chocolate brownie thingie at least once. more

Perks Coffee has a great cup of coffee. There is also a large selection of breakfast of lunch foods. Everything taste great at Perks! This coffee house also has entertainment on select nights. Some times there is a band other times a poet. more
