yuck 10/31/2006

Oops -- this was meant for the Clybourn location...\r \r we walked in and there was loud and awful music blasting on the speakers. the pizza was huge, greasy and overwhelming. the pasta was completely overcooked and the mozzarella sticks were undercooked and too salty. I saw the thin crust pizza which didn't look very thin, but looked better. Pros: affordable Cons: parking more

Yummy, Yum, Yum! 7/11/2006

DE-LISH DEEP DISH! The crust takes some getting used to - they carmalize it! Once you realize it's not burned, but intentional, you'll go back to this place over & over again for deep dish pizza! P.S. Their lincoln park location just recently re-opened! Cons: all deep dish takes a long time more

three words - pepperoni deep dish 1/11/2006

Pequod's makes the most heavenly deep dish pizza in Chicagoland. I can't even eat other deep dish pizza anymore, it just pales in comparison to the greatness of Pequod's. We no longer live in the area, and have considered scheduling an extra-long layover at O'Hare just to go grab some pepperoni and spinach deep dish. I just wish they shipped cross country! Pros: best pizza ever more

Bad Taste 6/15/2005

Interesting name for an establishment. Very bad tasting pizza. Our very first visit with my girlfriend left a very bad impression. Pros: Near theater Cons: Service, Food more

Carmelized crust!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2/13/2005

The aphrodisiac of pizza. Its how you feel after you eat it. This stuff rocks. Nothing comes close. THIRTY YEARS OF EATING IT I STILL DREAM ABOUT IT. Pros: carmelized crust, beer, relaxed Cons: not in Wisconsin, addicting more

Best Pizza I've Ever Tasted - Gosh! 2/10/2005

This is the best pizza I've ever tasted. Everything was good from the smell when I opened the box to the last bite. I LOVE pizza--especially good deep dish, and I've tried many, but this was by far the best. The carmelized crust put me over the top. I just wish there were one closer to me! How about a west suburban location, Pequod's????? You'd have to turn people away it would be so crowded. Pros: Pizza Cons: Not enough locations more

YES 2/3/2005

Yes, this is the pizza that has all but been forgotten...a genuine pan pizza. Forget thin-crust or pizza pies! It arrives at the table sizzling, the crust high on the side slightly burnt/carmelized to perfection. The sausage (if you like sausage) is great. Hands-down the best around. Just realized they deliver too. more

No question, THIS is the best pizza! 11/6/2003

Uno, Due, Gino, Edwardo, Nancy's, Giordano -- all bow down to the absolute best pizza in Chicago: Pequod's. Since we've discovered this place, we've dragged all kinds of friends to Pequod's, and several have made in their own pizza mecca. It's the rich ingredients and that carmelized crust that sets Pequod's apart. Pros: Fabulous pizza, Very friendly, Utterly unpretentious more

Worth the trip from the city 4/18/2003

I grew up near this place, and though I like their Lincoln Park branch, I LOVE this place ... it really is better. The crust is amazing, and that SAUSAGE! I'm in New York now and wish I could get this stuff delivered via overnight delivery! more

I'd Risk Castration For A Slice! 6/13/2002

This is the PERFECT pizza joint. Pequod's is a secret hidden treasure converted from an old house in the middle of a residential neighborhood. The tables & chairs are garage sale caliber w/ knotty pine paneling on the walls. I LOVE IT! The restrooms are a scream even if you dont have to go. The pizza is the best. All over the world I have never had better. It's deep dish sausage or nothing. No other have come close, including the mighty Ginos. I take these pizzas coss country to friends & relatives demand it. It is a must! Pros: Freshest ingredients, Unique ambiance, Hilarious rest rooms Cons: Scarce street parking more
