Chapel Hill's Best Pizza 4/12/2010

Pepper's is one of my weekly lunch spots and I always look forward to the experience. Great service and food. Pepper's has the best pizza in the area. Pros: Well prepared food, interesting menu with creative choices Cons: Music is a bit loud at times more

Not your Father's pizza shop 6/3/2009

I'd go down the street to one of the better run shops to eat and just come to Peppers for some people watching - the new address still attracts a few eclectic folks. \r Many pizza shops in Chapel Hill are known for quality, others quantity and some for service, but Pepper’s is not one to follow in other's foot steps. On the up side - the employees really seem to be having fun “working” ;-) Pros: Employees are having fun Cons: Mismanaged more

Worth a 45 Minute Drive 11/2/2008

My family and I live in Wake Forest, and often drive the 45-55 minutes to get to Pepper's because its by far the best in Raleigh, Durham,. or Chapel Hill.\r \r The only one that comes close is Randy's Pizza in Durham.\r \r We love Peppers! Pros: Best Pizza in Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill Cons: Far, But Worth the Drive more

Great pizzas 8/14/2008

This is a great date spot. The pizza is yummy and always made with fresh ingredients. Even a simple pie impresses. Also check out the staff making pizzas in the front window. more

Even idiots like pizza 3/7/2008

The pizza at Pepper's is pretty top notch. It is the only pizza joint I know in Chapel Hill to offer a good selection of tasty beers and an incredible array of toppings. The staff are nice and work their fingers to the bone when they are slammed. With that being said I find it surprising that Toddtheblog, the fine clean fellow that he is, would make the statements about Pepper's that he did. It would seem that this gourmand likes the finer things in life. A nice bottle of hand sanitizer, Mom's freshly pressed slacks and the sweet sounds of the Harvard Glee Club. The only thing creepy about Pepper's is the fact that there are people like you that frequent it. For those of you who like cultural landmarks and awesome food to boot...check out this Chapel Hill fav. Pros: Great Beer and Awesome Pie more

Skanky place, skanky people who I don't want touching my food 1/25/2008

I guess if the pizza arrived by a thrid party delivery service to my home, and I did not know it came from this creepy place, I would eat it. Pros: Eatable pizza Cons: Creepy people who I don't want touching my food, period. more

Good Pizza - Good Price 8/19/2007

Good service and tasty hot pizza. Nothing fancy, but a solid place to go get a slice.\r \r Seemed clean and staff was friendly. There was a problem when a homeless person came in and tried to panhandle and the staff asked him to leave. The homeless fellow challenged the manager to a fight and was screaming profanities. This was not a good thing in a restaurant filled with families and little kids. more

incredible pizza 10/29/2005

you definitely do not want to miss out on their amazing pizza - delicious! - but if you're intolerant of loud music (heavy metal) take a set of earplugs... best pizza in chapel hill by far. more

simply the best... 7/31/2004

...pizza place downtown CH. Perfect before hitting the local bars. The atmosphere is great, the service excellent and the slices are big. My fav' is the Luau but you have plenty of choice. Ah, no desserts... Anyway, it's just an awesome place ! and don't miss the artwork on the walls. Pros: pizza, downtown, service more

Pizza with a Chapel Hill flare 9/4/2002

Yes, the staff may seem like they should be extras in an Alice in Chains video, but the pizza is AWESOME! They will make you a slice or an extra large pie with any and all toppings available. My favorite is a white pizza with spinach, feta, garlic, sun-dried tomatoes and black olives. Try it, you will like it. more

atmosphere 8/16/2002

this place has the best sausage calzone and pesto pizza. more

Best thing going 6/5/2002

This is easily the best pizza in the area. Great selection of toppings and quality ingredients. Beyond the pizza, the salads and calzones are great alternatives. I recommend getting a whole pizza rather than slices (much better) though the slices are fine and everyone can get their custom ingredients. Pros: Selection, Taste more
