Peppermill Restaurant

The Peppermill is a great local mom and pop type family restaurant. The food is great and the staff is friendly. I much prefer the Peppermill over a Shari's or Applebee's. The portions are better and the food actually has some taste and flavor. more

Our family used to frequent this restaurant. Good food that was quick and kid friendly. After adding the lounge, this place has gone down hill quick. I will not even walk by with our kids anymore. The drunken smokers take up the sidewalk from about 5pm on. I am a causal drinker myself, but this is just a lounge full of dirty locals. I would never swing by on my way home, or meet coworkers here. This place just needs to make up its mind; Family Restaurant, or hang out for dirty drunken locals. more

While I am a regular there I see the hardworking staff taking good care of all the customers whether it is their first time or their 365th time that year.... BJ works swiftly and makes it look effortless no matter how slammed they might be. Amber makes everyone feel special and would be an excellent choice for a manager. Max is gregarious and adds a lot of charm to the place. Over on the restaurant side the wait staff sparkles as well. In these tough economic times the Peppermill serves up great value. They have large portions of quality food and beat any local prices and you get even more value if you order the special. The drinks are also the cheapest (and best) in the area. The patrons in the lounge range from just young enough to show ID to very well seasoned and the diversity makes it a lot of fun. If I didn't live nearby I would drive here! more

The restaurant is great and has always been, but steer clear of the lounge!! The service is the worst I've ever seen. We've been there no less than 10 times and have NEVER been approached by a bartender. They are much more interested in flirting with the regulars or girls in short skirts than serving anyone they don't know. We've had enough and will not be back. more

We used to go go here all the time and then things changed. The food (dinner) we ordered came cold and we had to send it back. We had a party of eight people and everyone got their food and different times. I am not talking 2-3 minutes but 30 minutes to an hour after another person. The manager Linda was so rude and really did'nt care. When we complained and tried to send the item back that was cold she refused to take it. Not a good way to run a restaurant. This is one place I will not be back to nor will I recommend it to anyone. more

I have been wanting to go to the peppermill for a while I have heard the food is very good as well as the service. well the food is very good you can tell it is fresh and made from scratch. The service is something to desire given they were busy, there is a blond i asumed was in charge she told us your not a regular so i dont care about you. I was apalled so i asked one of the other bar customers who she was he said she is the owners sister. I dont care who you are in this challenging time you should respect all customers no matter what. we wont be going back and we will pass it on to all of our friends. to bad it seems they have a good thing going there. we might try the restaurant side the food is worth another try more

I've been there several times.. w/and w/out family including my 97yrold granny.. yes they can be a little testy at times but we all have bad day's but I think blond bitch was just born.. My wife and I gone to this restruant every weekend for the past few years. The location is good and the weekend staff is very friendly. We went their for Veterans day and were totally ignored by the staff. We waited fifteen minutes for service without receiving any attention. A new customer came into the restruant and were immediately served. At this point we left for another place to have breakfast. The food is average but the waitress staff is very poor during the week. We have decided their are too many good resturants in the local ares and will never return to the Pepper mill. Good luck to you if to visit this place, hit or miss service. more

I have been going here since they opened. It is my favorite place to go in Beaverton, no one treats you like the staff at Peppermill they have always been excellent! When they are busy or not, they are friendly, professional, and help you as quick as they can. They know all the regulars by name, mine included! Shame on the person below, I agree with Chris too on his remarks. You must have been having a bad night, I have never ever seen BJ ever be rude to anyone! Nor any of the bartenders Linda, Amber, Max, Erin they are great! I would recommend this place to anyone and already have! After reading that bitchy review below about Peppermill, staff and BJ in particular, I had to chime in with my opinion. Honey, you need to get a life and stop bashing the hard working people who graciously put up with your whiny ass!\r \r As a male, I do not ""fawn"" over BJ, nor do I feel the need to. He serves me with a smile and friendly nod. The staff have always been great whether they're slammed busy or not. Friendly, yet professional, and provide a great atmosphere for people to relax.\r \r I hope everyone in the Aloha/Beaverton/Portland area gets a chance to hang out at this establishment and enjoy a drink, a meal, and a game of pool at some point! I have been going here for a year. If with my friends or alone for a soda and dinner I have never been disappointed. Their food is incredible. In fact when sick a friend brought me their stew and I swear it was the best stew I have ever had. If I am not there for the food I am there because I can go there and unwind from a hard day or to celebrate from a good day. The bartenders and managers are incredible and make you feel welcome and at ease. I would recommend this to anyone. There is something there for everyone if it be for the food, the company or for a drink. And if you are under 21 you can go next door and get the same exact service except for the drinks. The staff is very responsible and very conscious of what is going on and making sure you are getting home safe and sound. If you don't try it out I guarentee you are missing something. My favorite neighborhood hangout. Friendly staff and everyone does know my name. And I even get carded on the way in ... point is that they practice due diligence and are responsible when it comes to people drinking. When I'm the designated driver and drink water, I find the glass refilled often. BJ's service is awesome! I feel safe at the Pepper Mill. Where else can you eat good food, play pool, hang out with friends, and have staff that feel like part of the family and most of all feel safe? Love PM and the staff. Here is a shout out to one of the best hangouts ever! I have to agree with the person who posted this place is like Cheers! I love coming into the place - the person at the door always thinks I look under 21 and cards me! What a compliment :) The bartenders know when I ask for my ""regular"" what it is I'm drinking! haha. Best tuna melts EVER! We usually are there with a large group, whether it be football coaches/wives, parties no matter the staff is very attentive. If you haven't tried this place, you need to! I just wanted to take a minute and give a shout out to the Peppermill in Aloha. I have frequented this watering whole a few time, the food is great, the drinks are strong, the prices are reasonable, the male bartenders are cool and the females are hot!!!! They have let me indulge myself with my gal Diane in there a few times, and allowed us to have fun....but were always mindful to keep us safe and legal. Kudos! I no longer live in Oregon, but am back to visit periodically. My friends and I have been to Peppermill a few times and absolutely LOVE it! The staff are great (even when swamped busy) and food is delicious!!\r \r I'm not sure what the beef is between the reviewer and BJ below, but he's always been more than willing to do what was necessary to make the patrons happy (male and female alike). Even during there busiest times, all of the bartenders have come out from behind the bar to assist with food and drinks. They've never been anything but pleasant and seem to truly enjoy interacting with their patrons.\r \r I, for one, will continue to enjoy an evening or two each trip out at the Peppermill catching up with friends, playing pool, and enjoying the fun atmosphere.\r \r Pros: Friendly staff, great drinks, fun atmosphere more

For those old enough to remember the show ""Cheers"" (theme song ""Where Everybody Knows Your Name""), that show epitomizes the way I feel when I walk into the Peppermill Lounge. Everyone that works there is remarkable. Linda, BJ, Amber, Max, Mark, Tim ... they are all incredible people and do a great job. I've even held a few functions there and have always been made to feel welcome, whether there were 2 of us or 20.\r \r The bartenders do their best to keep the drinks coming quickly and they all run a safe and responsible establishment. ID is required, regardless of age. Service is discontinued for anyone appearing overly-intoxicated (either by physical or verbal indication) ... and they have been very accommodating in making transportation arrangements for anyone that needs one.\r \r In addition to the drinks I've tried there, I've also tried many of the menu items. They have all been extremely tasty and were delivered quickly and with a smile. Favorites among the menu items tried between me and my friends: Mac 'n Cheese, Hummus Platter, Chicken Strips, Tuna Melt, Tacos, Veggie Wrap and the Stew. \r \r If you want a tasty meal, an equally tasty drink or simply a place to sit and relax among friendly people in a fun casual atmosphere, this is definately a place you need to check out. BJ thinks he's God's gift to women and doesn't like it when you prove him wrong. Will not serve you unless you are female and fawning over him - sweetheart you are not handsome! And get this, for some reason he believes ""serving the customers"" is not part of his job description, ah Hello you're a frickin Bartender - Now get me a God Damn Drink idiot!!
