It is wonderful to see all the small things I missed out on. 11/29/2009

I've worn glasses for twenty years. I'd also had ear surgery when I was four and my ears were tacked back close to my head, which didn't leave much room for earpieces. At times I had to go without my glasses so the raw shin behind my ears could heal. this was a constant aggravation. I had even tried contacts for a few years but my allergies made contacts uncomfortable, so I went back to wearing glasses. So far it has been a week since I had Lasik, and it has been so nice to see clearly and also have my ears pain free. Also, as a detail oriented artist, it is wonderful to see all the small things I missed out on before. Thank you. more

Can't believe what I was missing! 11/29/2009

Didn't know I had a problem with cataracts until after surgery. I didn't know what I was missing. I'm free from contact lenses I had for 49 years. I'm happy and doing well. more

My New Vision Is Unbelievable 11/24/2009

After wearing hard contact lenses for over 42 years, my new vision is unbelievable. I am still doing exercises to increase reading vision, but my current vision is now better than it has ever been. Wonderful technology. more

I always said if I could change one thing, it would be my vision. It's so nice to be able to watch my boys sleep at night without looking for my glasses. It's great to no longer have to worry about walking down the stairs holding one of them and not seeing clearly. It's great! I love it! more

I was more nearsighted than 99% of the US population. Before LASIK and Dr. Pepose, life looked dull. Now, after LASIK and Dr. Pepose, like really looks clear. After 35 years of thick glasses and uncomfortable contact lenses, I now have perfect vision. It is the most miraculous thing that ever happened to me. I can never thank Dr. Pepose enough. more

I walked out of the vision center and into a whole new world 11/13/2009

It's been 12 days since my procedure and I'm thrilled! I was med-range near sighted and now my vision is 20/20. I love not having to deal with the inconvenience of taking my contacts in and out. I love waking in the middle of the night and being able to see the clock from across the room, instead of having to hold it to my eyes in the middle of the night. I'm really looking forward to swimming under water as well. more

Crystal lens not what it is said to be !!!!!! 11/8/2009

I had the Crystal lens in both eyes, my close up vision is much better, made my distance vision worse than it was. Had laser ( at additional cost) done on both eyes, did not help. Decided not to have lasiks done,(would have cost another $ 550.00 for 1 eye) talked w/ other patients having it done for the 2nd time to try to get rid of floaters. Too much risk that I would end up worse than I am. Wish I had never done the Crysal lens, very expensive, almost $ 11000. now and I will still need glasses for driving. Going to another Dr. Not happy!!!!!!! Pros: Technicians are greats Cons: Made my distance worse more

Immediately after Dr. Pepose placed the shields over my eyes I was able to read the clock on the wall. That little ""peek"" of success is what got me through the rest of the day without even opening my eyes. The next morning ""the world was my oyster."" I don't know of any reason why a person who relies on corrective lenses wouldn't do it. Dr. Pepose is the best! more

Words can not express! 11/6/2009

How to express the change is almost impossible to put into words. A veil is lifted and the real world seems to be back again after all these years. Just one day ago it was a different life. I can't say enough about the wonderful change and the excellent work that Dr. Pepose did in the whole process. Thanks again ever so much! more

I can see clearly 11/4/2009

I can see the clock beside my bed at night. I don't have to take my glasses off when I am putting on a turtleneck sweater. I can look out my window and see the trees and houses. I can see my husband's face. I can look inside my pantry and read labels on cans and boxes. If I drop the soap in the shower, I don't have to feel for it with my foot. more

Seeing is believing! 11/4/2009

I feel freed of something that literally clouded the world around me. Last week, on the first morning after the surgery, I noticed that the world seemed clearer and crisper to me. And then, I realized, no matter how hard I may have tried to keep my carious glasses clean over the last 23 years, they always ""smudged"" my vision of the world. Now, once again, I can see the world as it is, without the smear or blot that inevitably comes with wearing glasses! And, since I couldn't keep my eye reflexes from blinking out contacts, I'm grateful to Dr. Pepose... for this fresh view of the world! LASIK surgery, next to learning how to swim just last year, looks like it will be of the best investments in myself I've ever made. more

What an unbelievable experience! 11/3/2009

It's hard to put into words. Dr. Pepose is wonderful! His caring approach in handling my eye surgery was so very much appreciated. The staff was also wonderful. And the results - absolutely remarkable! Yes there have been a few fluctuations but my distance vision is superb. Not sure I ever saw this clearly in the distance. The amount of discomfort I experienced was so minimal! Thank you Dr. Pepose and staff!!! more

I can't believe the change in my eyes. It's so amazing! It's like being 10 years old again and having new adventures every day. I'm very athletic, and I love not having to mess with glasses or contacts. Thanks Dr. Pepose! more

No need for glasses 11/1/2009

My eyes were so bad. Most eye places could not make my glasses strong enough for me to see with. Lasik was my last chance to be able to see correctly. I can't believe how great my sight is today. I still have trouble trying to take my ""glasses"" off at night even though I no longer wear them. When I go to sleep, I shouldn't see anything. But I have no trouble waking up in the morning because I can already see the clock. So I never reach for my glasses. Dr. Pepose has done wonders for me. I can't thank him enough. My daughters have finally gotten used to having me without glasses. For the longest time my girls were saying ""that I was not mommy without glasses,"" and I looked weird without them. What a totally amazing proceedure! 10/30/2009

In the short list of truly significant events in my life, it ranks right up there with the birth of my first child. I'm now four days post-op, and I continue to be amazed by both the clarity of my distance vision and the increased size of the objects I'm viewing. I didn't realize that with my previous correction I was seeing the world almost 1/5 smaller than it actually exists. What a truly eye-opening revelation! My sincere thanks to all the staff and most especially to Dr. Pepose, not only for his skill and expertise as a doctor, but also for being a supportive, humane, and personable human being. LASIK and Dr. Pepose Changed the Way I See the World! 10/30/2009

Some people wish they were taller, thinner, stronger, better looking, smarter or happier. All I ever wanted to change about me was my vision. I've hated glasses since I was seven years old and contacts hurt my eyes. Thanks Doc, you've made my wish come true. Pros: Incredible Outcomes! more
