Pep Boys

I should have read the comments before wasting my time with Pepboys! I went to the Rancho Cordova Folsom Blvd. store to have a hitch and wiring installed on my Toyota pickup. I needed the job done that day for an important trip the next day. I called in the morning after looking at the internet schedule for the store it showed opened from 9 am to 3 pm. Of course I was scheduled at 3 pm. I was there at 3 pm, but forgot my wallet and had to run back home. Returning about 3:20 pm they began looking for the hitch, why they waited I don't know? Why they didn't have it before my appointment I don't know? So after looking for the hitch for around an half hour they finally found it and finally started!\r \r My friend came by and we left the store. The job was expected to take 1.5 hours. We were gone for 2 hours and when I returned NOTHING DONE! I asked, ""why""? Their excuse it was a damaged hitch. So instead of looking for another hitch at a different store they stopped. They also claimed they tried calling telling me my mail box was not set up! I have had this phone for over 2 years and yes the mail box is set up! My phone area code is 530 and I am sure they didn't or could not read and dialed 916! I asked them why didn't they wire the truck, they replied we didn't want to do anything without my permission. Of course if they read the work order they would of seen I did authorized the wiring!\r \r Don't waste your time with there 2 bit want to be technicians! My wife made an appointment to have her tires replaced. After sitting there over two hours they finally started on her car! One would think in the current economic state, someone representing the Pep Boys name would have atleast spoke with her and tried to reschedule? We will never do any type of business with Pep Bpys ever again. We (my wife and I) have extremely busy schedules (hence the appointment) and cannot afford to wait for inconsiderate businesses to act like we (the consumer) have nothing better to do with our time! I'm sure if this had happened to one of the employees of this establishment, that person would have been quite upset as well. we understand things happen but without an employee communicating with their customer, it's just disrespectful. I Called to speak with a manager and hung up after waiting ten minutes on hold. I believe Pep Boys corporate needs to do some MAJOR realignment of their policies and or employees if they wish to remain in business. I do not recommend this Pep Boys store for any automotive need! more
