Pep Boys

I'd thought I'd never the chance for a pay back. Pep Boys on Olive in Burbank stole my donut spare stowed away and I didn't realize it until a week later. I was wondering why the service person was acting a little strange. more

This is the worse place to get tires or service done!! Stay away! The service dept has the worse employee's.\r \r I took my car in for a service at 6:00p and the service rep i think his name was martin promised my car would be done by 9:30 i needed my brake pads replaced since i was going on a long drive 6 hrs away. Knowing it was a long wait i went home when i called back to check on my car at 7:30 they said that it hadn't been looked at yet. Then i come back to pep boys at 8:30 and my car was still sitting where i left it. I complained to the service mgr and he said someone shouldve called you. I said no one called me, he implied that i needed it leave it overnight... What a waste of my time... I was upset and disappointed! more

I have been in Burbank 15 years, and had all work done on all my vehicles at PeP boys. But now there is new people there. Last time I went there I asked to have radiator flush. Well, two hours later they say radiator cracked, have to replace rADIATOR. Very strange, as the women before me also was told by pep boys radiator cracked. What they did was use a channel locks or pliers and broke the outlet from radiator-trying to take off hose. They said it was already cracked. There was no leaks, and no cracks before. Then they put a substandard rediator in-with a rebuilt white top. 3 or 4 hundred dollars later-after I complained, they put in another rebuilt radiator. I was not happy. Then 3 months ago I had a heater hose crack, with steam coming out of crack in hose. I showed them crack, told them to replace both hoses. I am on disability, had taken off one hose day before-used my sort of good hand-took 1 hour. They took 3 1/2 hours-charged me $284 DOLLARS-and I got very pissed off. I showed more

I highly recommend this place if you need quick work down, i.e. oil change, alignment, tires, etc. They have really good deals and value their returning customers. They have a great group of mechanics. You can make appointments during the week, so I would suggest doing that, because if you just walk-in the wait can be a bit long (and there's not much to do in that area while you wait) - other than that, these guys are really helpful and they've never tried to rip me off and try to sell me stuff I don't know need. more

When ever I need to but auto parts and if I cannot find it at Kragen I will go to Pep boys because they are bigger and the service there is quick. The last time I went there was probably over a year ago when I had to buy a new battery for my car. The guy who took my order said it would take about 1.5 hours to install my battery. That day I was running late for an appointment and I told the guy my situation. HE was so nice that he bumped me up and I got it done in less that 30 minutes. I like Pep boys because you can get more than just your battery installed there. It is a one stop shop deal and the customer service is excellent more
