Pep Boys

My father went there and as a retired and disable Vietnam Vet, he always presents his military card and receives a discount at stores that offer the military discount. Apparantly, Audubon's Pepboys feels as though my dad doesn't deserve the discount, because he is retired and not active. Where does it say in the military discount, that you have to be active duty to receive the discount????? Well, whoever JOSH is, he is the one that refused service to my father. Thank you to the manager and the girl cashier, though, for actually helping my father and offering the senior citizens discount to him instead. At least they found it in their hearts to help an old, retired and disabled Vietnam Vet out. more

I've been to Audubon Pep boys a few times and after the last visit in early 2010 I promised myself I wouldnt go back. I always had an issue with this shop EACH TiME I went in, one time I had a battery replaced and they didn't tighten the cover down and left parts lying on top of the engine. The most recent visit was for a *simple* oil change and the reason I went for this was I thought, how bad can they mess up an oil change? Well the moron (more on that later) who did the service put the drain plug back into the hole crooked and stripped up the threads on the plug and the oil pan. So, had to get that replaced, by a different shop as I didnt want to leave car a Pepboys again. Actually the different mechanic I went to suggested I complain to Pep Boys and have them replace the oil pan since they damaged it but I couldnt bear the thought of them touching the car again. And the new mechanic (who runs a medium-sized shop a mile from pepboys) says he's hired guys who came from pepboys and more

I went there for one tire. 3hrs later it cost $425 because they don't know what they are doing. I think they practiced on my car. Just don't go there!!! more

I took my car to them for new tires. I bought the car new, so these were the first replacement tires for the car. A year later I took my car to the dealership for repair. They informed me that the back tires were the wrong size (the ones Pep-boys installed). I contacted them about the problem, and they told me that I had to come in and wait (for possibly several hours) just to get a manager to look at the discrepancy - or I could drop off the car for the entire day. For obvious reasons - I couldn't do either of those things. They were completely unconcerned with the fact that their mistake put myself and my car at risk - and their only offer to remedy their mistake was to inconvenience me even further. I ended up spending the extra money and took my car somewhere else. This other company had me in and out within 45 minutes. PROS: Their location is convenient CONS: Extremely poor customer service and workmanship more

There has been a change in the auto part industry pep boys was a place that we always went when we needed parts. Any more you will find everything but parts. There are so many bikes and accessories and when you need a part first of all they don't know what you are talking about and second they never have it. more
