Pep Boys

If you are looking to have your car damaged (and then be expected to pay for the repairs) then take your car go to the Pep Boys on Main Street in Apopka, FL. We took our car to have a nail puncture in one of our back tires repaired there. They completed the repair, but after we drove the car home the TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) warning light came on - this was new as only the warning light for the tire with the nail in it had ever previously come on. Brought the car back within an hour of the repair to let them know that they had apparently broken the tire monitor from the wheel involved. They claimed it came in like that, which was impossible as it was the original wheel - which had never been removed and the warning light for the bad tire had been coming on every couple days, including earlier that morning - so it was certainly working prior to going to Pep Boys. Now they are being SO GENEROUS as to have us split the cost of fixing the tire monitor which THEY broke. more

Took my car there to be repaired. They broke more parts attempting to repair the car and expected me to pay for the additional parts they broke attepmting to fix it incorrectly. Several real mechanics told me they didn't even need to remove the parts they broke, I have also bought parts there that didn't last more than a year before I needed to replace them again. more

Pep Boys usually has the best deals on oil,.filters, and other similary care care products. The key is to find their ad in the Sunday Orlando Sentinel (note that this is not the same ad as in the store). There will usually be some good coupons where you can get good deals on oil and filters. Also some very good rebate deals, if you are a rebate type of person. I wouldn't get my car serviced there. more

I don't love going to these places but when I must I always go here. The store is layed out in a friendly manner and I can always find whatever I need and If I am not sure what it is I actaually need..they help me out. more

I called everywhere to find a specific battery for my car. Every other business i called answered the phone quicky (even tho they didnt have the battery i needed) They still answered the phone. I then tried calling Pep boys. But yet no answer. I called again and after going thru a very long automated thing I was put on hold. Every 3 min the automated system thing came back on and put me on hold again. After 15 min still NO HUMAN picked up the phone. That is no way to run a business. This is a great place to shop for car parts and car tools. The have just about everything and anything you are looking for. Easy to get to isles and catalogs galore to special order those things you need. more
