Penzeys is the best! 1/27/2011

This is one of my favorite shops in St. Louis. They have every spice imaginable & they actually have open samples jars so you can smell the different herbs & spices. Their prices are comparable to Schnucks or Dierbergs but the quality and freshness are head & shoulders above what you find in any grocery store. Sign up for their mailing list and you get a catalog every few months along with a coupon or a free item. more

If you are serious about your food, you need to visit Penzeys. 8/9/2006

I used to shop at their online store pretty much all the time for my herbs and spices (http://www.penzeys.com). Since moving back to St. Louis I found out they had a store location here! Oh, it smells divine in there. They have everything that is in their online inventory. The staff is very helpful, and friendly too. I had a list and I'm glad I stuck to it. It can get pricey, but they have amazing gift boxes for Weddings, Bakers and just about any occasion. I'd love a spice box as a wedding gift! Very good quality, and very fresh. Go online and sign up for the catalog, it is full of cooking and baking inspiration. more

Penzey's Spices are pricey but good 3/17/2006

Penzey's Spices is a hidden find for cooks and bakers. They have a lot of good, high-quality spices, mixes, and essences. They have many house blends and they are are worth the price. They have a catalog, and occasionally send out coupons for free jars. Be sure to check out their hot chocolate mixes and gift boxes too. more
