I was looking for a mother of the groom dress, and had seen ads for Peneventures,so I thought I'd give it a try. Debra gave me wonderful customer service,the best I've ever had in a retail store. There was a huge selection, and Debra helped me pick the right dress! The seamstress was also very good.I will definately be a repeat shopper when my other kids get married! Keep up the good work! more

Peneventures was nothing but professional with a neighborhood feel. They treat you with a smile and a mimosa!! The idea of looking for a dress for myself for my daughters up coming wedding was less than appealing! My size is always a challenge it seems, petite and large busted. The girls here were great and respected what I was looking for and actually made the experience enjoyable. Would highly recommend anyone to shop here! I walked out with the perfect dress and clutch----both on sale! amazing less than $300 dollars and I'll look like a million bucks, can't wait!!!!! more

My sister and I had the great fortune of hearing about Peneventures before her oldest son's wedding. We met with Debra and had the most fabulous experience. Not only did both of us end with the most gorgeous gowns, but we were treated like royalty. It was such a wonderful experience that when her younger son got married just one year later, we headed back to Peneventures and again Debra helped us find the most amazing dresses. I wouldn't shop any where else for my special event dress! more

I had purchased my Prom dress from Peneventures years back, and when it was time for my wedding I sent my Mom and Future Mother-In-Law to Peneventures. Both had pleasurable experiences! The sales team has a great selection, and a real eye for what colors, and styles will look best on you. Both my mom and Mother In law looked beautiful on my wedding day! more

I live several hours away from Peneventures but was determined to visit in hopes of finding a dress for my son's summer wedding. I am very hard to fit and at a recent bridal fair Peneventures said they could fit anyone with the perfect dress. I made an appointment and was treated like royalty. I was the only customer in the shop and had their undivided attention. Many dress choices were presented until we narrowed down the right one. Their staff is extremely well versed in color, style and fit. They know their merchandise and were able to find the appropriate gowns effortlessly. The alterations were done quickly and the dress was perfect!! Many many compliments on the big day. I would recommend Peneventures to anyone looking for the perfect dress for that special occasion. more

I shopped plenty of boutiques but when I really need to look stunning and feel comfortable in a dress, I'll go to Peneventures. The staff and the owners I find are very knowledgeable, with a few questions, they presented the best variety. I was in and out of there in 20 minutes flat with time to spare for a latte from across the street. I recommend an appointment, they will do the rest. Very satisfied with my dress many times over. more

The saleswomen and owner were extremely helpful, patient and certainly not ""hard-sell"". I am an extra large size and they also knew from the beginning that I was on a budget.\r It was my first experience with the shop but it will not be my last! Pros: Wonderful customer service more

Pen-E-Ventures sold me a dress that literally fell apart. They provided me zero assistance in getting the dress repaired, cleaned or replaced. You can find the same dresses/designers at Nordstroms, Saks or Bloomingdales at a better price and receive MUCH better customer service. So much for the personal touch of a local shop. I had an absolutely terrible experience!!!!!!! I went to Peneventures with my sister and mother (my sister is getting married) to look for a mother of the bride dress. They were very nice when we first walked in, but that changed quickly when we told them we were on a budget. Their dresses are expensive (nothing less than $300, but into the thousands of dollars), and they carry mostly size 8 and under. They pulled like three UGLY, BURLAP SACK LOOKING, dresses out and my mom tried them on. When I pulled a dress out for her to try on, they snatched it from me and said ""that won't look good on her"" and hung it up somewhere in the back.... I went to Pen E Ventures to purchase a mother of the bride dress for my daughter's wedding. The owners of the store ended up charging my credit card account but not ordering my dress. I put in a complaint with Visa and the store owners sent in a letter to Visa saying I stole from them. I now am out $1000 with NO DRESS. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT NO ONE SHOPS AT THIS STORE. The sales team is rude and has no regard for the customer-retailer relationship. Their policies are unreasonable and they have no problem taking money from their customers and not providing a product.
