Owner is a jerk--don't spend your money here! 6/2/2011

Wow, the owner of this restaurant is a real piece of work. My children (one and two years of age) were playing outside of his restaurant and he told me they were rude and their behavior was unacceptable. Keep in mind, these are babies. There is no way I will ever spend one dime in his restaurant again and hope you don't either. more

Great Breakfasts, Awesome Cinnamon Rolls. 6/10/2009

My family often goes to Pegasus for breakfast- in fact, I've only been there for breakfast! Their french toast is heavenly, the omelets are always fresh and fluffy, and the cinnamon rolls are to die for, truly not your typical cinnamon roll but made from a flakier (yet still soft) crust. The only issue I have with Pegasus is the service- it's a busy place on the weekends, especially for breakfast, and occasionally the service slips. We had to wait once for a reservation- we had a fairly big party (over 10 people) but we had called for reservations far in advance. The restaurant wasn't even busy, there were several open tables, but the wait staff literally fell to pieces scrambling to get us in, which was embarrassing for us as we stood crammed in the front part of the restaurant (which isn't very big, if you've been there) while the other customers coming in weren't pleased that they had to wait behind us since WE were waiting and the hostess had to abandon her station seating people in order to get our table ready to go. We stood for about 20 minutes when it was all said and done and we were never given any sort of apology (in fact, our waitress made a fairly rude joke about it, which was bizarre to me) and we also had out of town guests with us. I, of course, had told these guests that Pegasus was an awesome place to eat...but I guess Pegasus had to choose that morning to prove how unawesome they sometimes can be. It was poor management that morning, and I hope it doesn't happen again. Unfortunately, that entire experience makes me now think twice before I take others there to eat. Bummer! Pros: Good food Cons: Service is a little dicey- okay, really dicey. more

Great Gyros! 2/20/2007

Pegasus has a wide selection of foods--from american (burgers and sandwiches), to Mexican (burritos), to Greek (gyros.) They also have a great kids menu, with breakfast options available to kids into the early afternoon. I love the gyros and the club sandwich (similar to one's at TGI Friday's.) My husband has yet to find something that he's crazy about. It's a fairly large restaurant, so there's enough foom for larger groups. Pros: Gyros and Club sandwiches Cons: Grumpy servers more

Best chile rellenos, family atmosphere 7/11/2006

Pegasus Restaurant, owned and managed by John DeLay. Pegasus has been in Castle Rock for the past 18 years and in its current location at 313 Jerry Street since 1999. John bought a small stagnant Greek restaurant (he calls it ""a Greek/American dive"") on East Colfax in Denver 23 years ago. At the time he bought the original Pegasus, the Greek restaurant had added a couple of Mexican items to their Greek menu. Pros: Great Food, Warm Atmosphere Cons: Sometimes the wait is long, but they are actually making the food from scratch! more

Yum. 6/22/2006

I've only been to Pegasus for breakfast. It's decent breakfast food, especially if you don't feel like hitting up a chain restaurant. I think they have the best cinnamon rolls in Castle Rock! :D more

late riser 7/23/2002

With an American, Mexican and Greek menu, this restaurant certainly fills spots noone else does. The best, however, is the breakfast: Huevos, waffles, omlettes or just plain bacon and eggs. The bacon and eggs are a particular favorite - one gets four slices of thick cut bacon, your eggs, interesting potatoes and a choice of several kinds of toast. Best of all - they serve it until 1:30 in the afternoon for all you late risers. Pros: value, friendly, small town feel Cons: parking, busy Sunday brunch more
