This is a general review of Peet's as I cannot find the Studio City store on City Search: I am writing to complain about a terrible experience I had at the Studio City, Ventura Blvd. location with one of their Barristas. The shift supervisor of the store, Anthony R. gave me her name as ""Stephanie B."" I have been a loyal customer of years and had been coming in almost every day, ordering the same drink daily. Yesterday, Stephanie ignored my usual drink and made something else. When I complained, instead of smiling happily and remaking my drink, she tried to engage me in the silly game of drawing on a cup which seemed to me demoralizing and an effort to make feel ""lesser than"" in front of the other customers. When I took the drink she'd made incorrectly, in an effort to just be on my way, she then made a snide comment on my status as a customer and how I was holding her up from the other customers and causing a scene ""in front of children"" which then made me feel as if I was even less important as a customer than I'd felt prior to the comment. I then requested a shift manager and was denied. She then said some things in an effort to further demoralize me and seemingly start a fight between myself and the customer currently ordering. The customer looked at me and told me to ""Shut the f**k up and let him order"". Instead of reprimanding the customer cursing in front of the children now standing behind me, she seemed to revel at his defense of her at which point I again demanded a shift manager. This entire time she was asking me to leave to which I was responding that I was not cursing, I was not being rude, I was simply and yes, loudly requesting a refund and an official means of complaint. At this point, another customer came at me and told me to leave to which I responded that I would not, that I was not cursing, I was not threatening, I simply wanted a recourse to the way I was being treated. The second customer became physically threatening and came very close to me and demanded I leave. I again calmly and respectfully held my ground. I really enjoy stopping by this location on my way home from work. It has a very relaxing atomosphere with jazz music softly playing in the background and dark wood furnishings. It's a large space that allows you to find a corner all to your self. The staff is very friendly and they don't mind taking time to help you in selecting the right coffee. And the coffee is far the best! It doesn't leave an acrid aftertaste like Starbucks and it's not watered down like Coffee Bean. The only downside is parking, which is behind the store. You have to drive through an alley to get to it. But if your strolling along Beverly Dr, it's worth a stop in. They have an artsy display of coffee mugs and plates which are pretty reasonable in price. Pros: Atmosphere, Coffee Cons: Parking, no outside seating more

I adore a strong cup of joe, but I confess that most of the dark-roasted blends here taste burnt to me. Ethiopian Fancy is just to my liking: medium-bodied, complex, and slightly sweet.
