PEET's would get great marks form me except they do not carry sweet and low. Sweet-N-Low - there are no substitutes sweet enough to take it's place and coffee isn't the same wi...

Peet's Coffee & Tea is one of the worst cups of coffee I've ever had. There is no flavor, it's bitter, and I'll never go to a Peet's Coffee & Tea again! Pros: Locations, Advertisment, Availability Cons: Taste, Quality, Taste more

I drive 180 miles every month for Peets coffee. It's just too good. So much better than ""charbucks"". Just wish the downtown shops were open on Sat/Sun since I stay downtown and come on weekends. more

`Round the block 8/12/2002

Sure there are about a million coffee places just around the block from my apartment and where I work, but Peet's is the only one that I rely upon for truly satisfying me. Pros: Amazing coffee, Staff is superb, Snacks are great Cons: Wish it was open late, Not enough locations, More snack options more

Lovefest 7/28/2002

Everyone at my neighborhood Peet's knows my name and my drink. Sometimes they'll even have it waiting for me by the time I get to the register. And, it's the only think that can make me civilized enough to interact with people in the morning. Peet's--don't leave home without it. Pros: Friendly Staff, Strong Coffee Cons: Occasional long wait more

Good Neighbor 7/26/2002

Peet's on Chestnut caters to the neighbors. The personal touch is not lost on customers. I am addicted to their French Roast/Costa Rica blend. Very classy that they close down all stores for annual ""Employee Picnic"". A true Bay Area original. Pros: very fresh beans, friendly atmosphere, local business Cons: limited parking more

mmmmmmmmmm 7/23/2002

i recently moved to new york, where the coffee culture is surprisingly lame. sigh. i miss peet's coffee so much. god it's good. i'm also baffled by the people who say peet's coffee is just burnt and not complex. have they tried all the different types? i think the african one's are the best (kenya, ethiopia, and especially arabian mocha sanani). it's also strange that people compain that peet's coffee is bitter. i mean, coffee is bitter. if you want something that's not bitter drink something else. in my thirty years in the bay area i drank coffee all over. i remember when peets was just one store on vine street in berkeley. and i'm even a little sad that it's become a big chain. still nothing comes close to peet's in terms of depth and complexity of flavor. Pros: best coffee anywhere more
