Pediatric Medicine of Wallingford, founded in 1978, is a long-standing medical practice dedicated to the health and well-being of children. We provide a broad range of services which include:

We provide 24 hour ?on call? coverage for our patients. In case of emergency, you can always reach a clinician using our main office number. Please keep in mind that non-urgent matters should wait until regular office hours. If you do page the doctor, please keep your phone line free and turn off any features that block unidentified callers. If you do not hear back from us within a reasonable time period, be sure to call again to ensure that your message was received.

*Monday through Friday: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., for routine & urgent visits
*Saturday: 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 noon, for urgent visits only

Since we have no ?mid-level? practitioners, all urgent and well visits are scheduled with physicians. You can always be sure that the care you receive represents the best of our accumulated pediatric expertise. If one of our patients should require care in the hospital, our physicians regularly visit the patient and play an active role in his/her care.

Areas of special interest for our group include pediatric dermatology, obesity, acute injury, adolescent issues, and child development.

Sick visits are usually seen the same day by whichever doctor is available. Simply call ahead for the next available time slot.

Routine physicals may be scheduled in advance with the doctor of your choice. For infants, these physicals are generally scheduled for about 1 week of age and then at 1, 2, 4, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, and 24 months. After that, most physicals are scheduled yearly. W e do send out notices when we anticipate the need for an appointment, but it is the parent's responsibility to know or ask when a child's next physical is due.

Summertime is the busiest time of year for physicals. During these months, you should book routine appointments well in advance.
