Pedego

I purchased two Tommy Bahama Pedego electric bikes from Tommy Bahama. Although they had been purchased with White Glove Service, the trucking company did not do this and I was sitting there with two not completely assembled bikes with not a tool box at hand. Pedego came to the rescue. The owner of Pedego Don DiCostanzo got on the phone and personally made the phone calls to his local dealer Within less than a half hour after I called them with my dilemma, he contacted the local dealer Hybrid Cycles of West Chester, Pa. The owner of Hybrid Cycles Gary DiVincenzo within an hour had sent down his store's mechanic, andat no charge put the bikes together and explained how to use them. That is customer service at it's best! more

My bike buddy Luis, rides an E+ bike that he bought back in Nov. of last year. The battery wouldn't charge so he called up the company, only to learn they had declared Chapter 11. So Luis is screwed! This is a cautionary tale, cause it seem lots of E bike companies go belly-up every year. What's outstanding about Pedego bikes is they're built to last and so is the company. I had an issue with the Pedego kickstand, but with one call to Don, and a replacement was with me in two days, flat. Just one more reason to only go with Pedego. more

I just want to say that these bikes are absolutely incredible! I have mine all tricked out with monkey lights and my own handmade POV lights, I get strange looks, yells, tilted heads etc at least a few times a day. I'm always sure to tell people where to try them out and grab one, Truly a life-changing and enabling device for someone like me with a medical license suspension! I feel trapped no more! more

Everything about the Pedego is something that I'd recommend to others- the long battery life, the quality of the bike frame, the "coolness" of the design, and usability of every feature makes it a pleasure to ride to and from work. Everyone stops to stare, and then they think, "when can I get one?!" more

My wife Patti and I are now back into bike riding after more than 20 years of not getting on a bicycle. Pedego electric bicycles have made it fun again and we are getting exercise while having so much fun. We have explored areas of the neighborhood that we had not visited before as they were too long a walk but are now easily accessible on our Pedegos. When we visit our children and grandchildren in Mission Viejo and Manhattan Berach, our Pedegos are on the bicycle rack and everyone enjoys the new found fun. Great job Pedego, keep it up! San Francisco is one of the easiest cities in the world to negotiate. Public transportation options abound: theres the subway, a great metro-rail system, lots of buses and even cable cars. So a couple of years ago, after moving to San Francisco, I decided to sell my car and rely on the subway, the metro and the bus. For awhile it worked out just fine. Then one day, I discovered a way to make getting around even betterthe ultimate mode of transport, the Pedego. The Bay areas subway (BART), and all the buses happily accommodate bikes. So Ive been able to take my Pedego on public transportation to places all over the city, and the East Bay, then cruise a neighborhood and really get to know it. My Pedego is also a great way to get around in my own hood. On Saturdays, I head over to the local farmers market, then to Tartine Bakery and the fishmongers, located in The Mission. The Pedego has expanded my horizons, and helped to reduce my waistline. Some of my friends sometimes ask me, But dont you miss having a car? No, I say, If I really need four wheels, I rent a Zipcar, but otherwise, Im happy with just two. Besides, not owning a car saves me about $5,000 a year! more

I was on a waiting list 3 months to buy a Prodeco Phantom X. Fortunately, I cancelled that order that order due to bad customer service and was tired of waiting. Since I contacted Pedego my experience has been First-Class. The Pedego bikes are TOP quality and the service is the best. I am so thankful I was able to get a Pedego. The bike was shipped the same day as I ordered it. Very Impressive. more

The whole process of choosing the bike and pestering Ashley at Pedego was a very pleasant if now fun affair. The bike was a Christmas gift and I called pretty close to Christmas but she was still able to ship the bike in plenty of time. The bike arrived in great shape, only took about 30 minutes to assemble, and rides and works great. My wife loves it. We bought a pair of Pedegos about 2 years ago and recently bought 2 more so when we have friends over, we can all ride together. Some of our friends said they are going to buy them as well. What an amazing idea! more

I have called Pedego twice to ask about/deal with issues (burnt fuse)(wrong color fender shipped) and both times I was handled with care and both issues were rectified at no cost to me - QUICKLY!! In a world where customer service ends with a purchase - these people made me feel like i had bought a luxury car. more

It all started a little over a year ago when I bought my first Pedego comfort cruiser. Love this bike. Soon after, my wife decided she wanted to try a Pedego, so we bought her a green step though. About a month after that , my sister was in California visiting and rode my wife's bike and decided she wanted a Pedego as well and had one shipped up to Eugene Oregon. She rides up and down hills almost everyday. Well , I've done it again ...two days ago I was down in Irvine and went by Pedego to say hi to Don and Terry and ended up buying an interceptor . These bikes are so much fun with friends and family. I just can't say enough about the product and the great people who work there including , Cameron, the shop steward and Ashley who is Terry's daughter and runs the office. Hands down , the best customer service on the planet . If you decide to join the Pedego family, you won't regret it. These are genuinely neat people. more

You are getting a lot of rave reviews here in the Houston area when I take my bike out. There is rarely a time that I can go out (usually shopping) and someone doesn't stop me to admire the bike and ask questions. And from my experience, it is a great bike (did enough research before hand to be very pleased with my decision to go with your product). more

I received a beautiful green Pedego step-through cruiser with white wall tires for my birthday. It was purchased at and delivered by IFT bicycles. What service! There are many bike paths in our area which is hilly. The downhills were always fun and the rides across the local nature area beautiful, but the hills back up to my house were killers. My Pedego has made it possible to take the hills with ease. I still get the exercise, but have doubled my range and don't worry about the hills at all. I used to forego a bike ride on breezy days; now I put on a windbreaker and take a ride. I couldn't be more pleased with my Pedego. more

I recently took delivery of two bikes; an Interceptor for me and a red Cruiser for my wife. My wife's Ruby Red Cruiser had a very small chip on the bottome of the frame. No big deal but somewhat disappointing on her new bike. We call and spoke to Ashley in the customer service department. She was really disturbed by this and quickly sent to me a bottle of touch-up paint and a set of their new panier bags as an apology. I was really taken by her level of concern and Pedego's resoloution to this problem, as I'm sure the chip was incurred via the shipping process and did leave the Pedego plant in perfect condition. Talk about over-exceeding my espectations! Thank you Pedego..and Ashely. You guys rock! more

I can partially disassemble my cruiser and put it in my small private plane. This allows me to take it to the beach, mountains, trails anywhere. The process is very quick and easy, only about 5-7 minutes. this more

I've had my Pedego Cruiser for about 6 months and have been loving it! I think the best thing about owning an electric bike is that it takes away all the little excuses you might have for not using your bike ... its just so much fun riding it! My favorite ride over the summer has been out to the local beach here in Nelson, BC ... its a 22km round trip from my house, with some pretty decent hills in between! Easy and fun on the Pedego! Without an electric bike, I'm sure i'd be jumping in the car to do that sort of trip ... Cheers Mike more

I was surprised at the amount of fun my wife, son and I had. Seeing the tourist stop and rest while we peddle and coast through the crowds. Much ground was covered therefore we seen two days in one the attractions. I'm 58 so anything I could do to save steps was a blessing. more

I purchased my Orange Pedego Electric Cruiser; orange rims, brown balloon tires, leather handgrips and seat and upgraded battery from Stan Kaplan, who has them listed on ebay. After a few emails and two phone calls, I bought it without ever having even seen one in person, except for the pictures online. I would have to say that it was Stanâ??s pride in the bike and the company that sold me, so I ordered it. When it arrived I had it on the road within an hour. After carefully unpacking it, I actually read the instructions (A first for me!) on how to put it together; the only thing involved was installing the handlebars and pedals (tools included!). It was a piece of cake. To my surprise, the battery was already charged and I was off! I was so impressed by the smooth push button shifting and the most excellent gear ranges. When I hit the throttleâ?¦..OH YEAH, SUPER COOL! Itâ??s fantastic and amazing. I couldnâ??t stop smiling. While riding my Pedego, my neighbors came out asked to try it out. Also while riding through the town, I was asked to pull over two times by people in cars wanting to check out my â??awesomeâ? bike! The bike is so cool looking, whenever out riding I am constantly being asked about it, everyone loves it! I also plan on purchasing a Pedego for my wife! Another fact I really appreciated about the company is that it is not uncommon for the owners of the company to answer the phone when you call Pedego; and if youâ??ve registered your bike, they know who you are! This is the greatest toy Iâ??ve ever owned; so much that I plan on adding a bicycle rack to our 51 Ford Woodie, so we can take the bikes with us to all the Woodie events! Oh, did I mention, after having the bike, Stan called to see if I was happy with it? Yep, he did and Iâ??m super happy, in fact, each time I get on the bike, itâ??s the same great feeling as when I first rode it! I love the bike and I especially like the company! Screw buying the world a Coke- That was then, Pedego is Now! When I say "Now", I don't mean a sign of today's generation or the Fad of the moment. I mean Now, as in: ...it's about time "go green!" was more than just a cool marketing campaign... or let's go for a ride; not when we have some time to kill, but right now... or "I'm coming over right now", because I don't have to wait for traffic to die-down! I honestly wish I had a fleet of them for friends & family to use when visiting. My favorite new sound: "Wheeeeeeeee!!!"- which my friends & neighbors are certain to hear me saying ~All the Way Home! I love this bike! It gives the boost when you need it and is easy to pedal and cruise when you don't. I mostly wanted to get out and enjoy biking again and this has definitely fit the bill. Thanks. more
