The bike came very well packaged and the general assembly was simple to complete. The color is even better than I anticipated. The only reason I didn't give the total experience 5 stars has to do with the extras I ordered. For the price, I would have expected that the fenders would have been installed, especially since the back tire must be deflated and then re-inflated to complete. I have yet to finish this. The basket could use a better installation instruction as well......Now if the snow would stop falling in Minnesota, I would be ready to "hit the road"!!! (Haven't been this excited since I got my first Harley years ago!!!!) My dealer was great to work with -- unfortunately she lives a distance away, so cannot take the bike to her for help! more

We rented bikes from Kenny and Ann in Redondo Beach this week and are more than happy with the amount of fun they are and the amazing customer service this location provided. We are already looking into our next visit and without a doubt be back to see them. We would highly recommend this bike to friends and family. It was an in-expensive, wonderful way to spend the day. A couple days ago, we took delivery on 2 Pedego City Commuters after a really great buying experience with Metropolis in North Hollywood. I hooked up the Trail-a-bike we'd gotten to go with it and went and picked up 4.5 year-old son at preschool. He rides a no-training-wheels 12 inch, so it only took a minute for him to get comfortable on the Trail-a-bike. Soon we were cruising home. I asked him if it felt ok. "This feels wonderful!" he shouted back. My wife got home and we took a family cruise around the neighborhood. We couldn't get the smiles off our faces. We were talking about it all night. Yesterday I disregarded the advice of the manual (please let me know if this is a truly bad idea) and hooked up 2-year old son's front-attaching bike seat to the stem. It fit much better than it did on my Bianchi Broadway, and because the bike is so heavy and sturdy, the balance was so much easier. We cruised down to the Rose Bowl and played at the children's museum. I couldn't believe I had us back home in 25 minutes, that I didn't have to change clothes from sweating through them. Yesterday afternoon, when my 5-year-old came home from school and I got back from yoga, he was sitting on the front steps waiting. "Can we go for a bike ride?" "Absolutely." I hooked up the Trail-a-bike, with my other son in the front seat and started off. I worried that I was really going to test the limits of the 500 watt motor, that with two kids the balance would be really compromised, but nothing doing. We cruised around the neighborhood for a half-hour and that thing never faltered. There's no preschool today, so we're going to pedal on down to Pirate Park to meet some friends. I can't wait to see their faces as we roll up. Though it hurt me to lose the lake house, these bikes have already given me so much joy. They're just the kind of thing my grandparents (early adopters of both the snowmobile and scooter) would have loved. For me it makes this town where I'm raising my kids a little more like the one I grew up in. But most importantly, it makes possible a thing I've always loved - a leisurely bike ride with people you love around the neighborhood. Thank you so much for this. I'm so excited to be a Pedego owner. I look forward to many years on your product and am glad to know you're not far away. You have my most enthusiastic support. more

Last January while in New Orleans attending a convention, I saw the new Ford Electric Bike made by Pedego in the Ford Motor Company Exhibit. After a 2 minute demonstration ride, I knew I wanted one. I ordered it on the spot and was promised a March delivery date. My coworker also ordered one. We got the bikes and they look great! I unboxed mine and drove it home from the office yesterday, it works just fine. They are totally awesome and I love they are commissioned by Ford. more

Back in 2009 when Pedego first got started, my wife bought one. Shortly afterward, my son purchased one. While I admit I was a bit reluctant on the whole idea, I took the jump and bought one too. As it turns out, I ride mine the most. It’s been great for riding to and from work on nice days. I also use it on weekends to ride with my wife up and down the coast from Newport to Seal Beach. Now, with our Pedegos, everything is within range. I’m shopping for a bike rack for my Prius to drag the bikes around so we can explore beyond our local area. If you just think it might be fun to get one . . . it’s more than just fun . . . it’s a brand new experience. You should stop thinking and JUST DO IT ! You won’t be disappointed. The range is outstanding - my $@!#% wears out before the battery. The quality of the bikes is unsurpassed and the Pedego company is tuned in to their customers. Can’t say enough about the positive experiences we have had with these fun machines. If you like to have FUN – you need a Pedego! more

I purchased my City Commuter from Pedego Carlsbad last September. My intention was to use it to ride around beach areas. I did so for a month or so, then returned to our place in the desert in mid October. I had so much fun on the bike, I started to use it instead of my car for many errands, such as groceries, post office, etc. Then I found myself riding it to a volunteer job I do two times a week. Now after 5 months, I find I have reduced my gasoline usage by 75%, reduced my bad cholesterol by 10 points, and raised my fun quotient immeasurably. The Pedego bike, is solid, comfortable, and plenty powerful. I hope many more folks decide to enjoy this as I do, and I appreciate the excellent service you provided me in the beginning. We love our 2 Pedego Interceptors. Hubby picked them out and I admit I was a bit skeptical, especially since I hadn't been on a bike in over 30 years!. After about 5 minutes of riding, I became very comfortable at riding again. We go places we never knew existed. So far, we have logged almost 600 miles, mostly exploring places we didn't know existed. I try to pedal all the time but when there is a hill, I love the thrill of motor taking me up it! more

In my past review I praised the bike, now I want to praise the staff. As with all machines thing go wrong and that is to be expected especially when the owner of the bike rides about a hundred miles per week. I have had a minor problem and the staff responded to me within minutes. They told me " We stand ready to take care of any probem you have with the bike". That was instead of giving me an excuse or even blaming me for using the bike so much. I am demanding and expect performance from the bike and staff. I am getting this with Pedego and their fine staff. I am also very happy with John at Sniders and his his fine staff. The have exceeded excelents. I don't know why everyone would not want one or have to have one. I am 51 yrs old and thought I could not ride a hike because of a $@!#% knee. Well after about 3 weeks of riding my knee did not hurt any more. I told my Doctor and he said it was because I needed to build up the muscle in my. Knee. No more pain for me! more

I took delivery of my white step thru, Pedego City Commuter on the 4th. of July, 2013 and now, less than six month later have accumulated almost 2000 miles. That says a lot about how much I like this bicycle and still able to ride at age 80 with a past of two broken hips and a hip replacement. The stability, comfort and quality of the the City Commuter is unmatched by any bike of the many I have owned thru-out the years. Battery depletion anxiety is of no concern as the structure, frame geometry and the seven speed Shimano cassette allow me to peddle with no power at 12- 14 mph on level surfaces in light to moderate head wind. Rides of 60 miles plus on a single charge are not uncommon with enough power reserve to boost me home up a mile long hill with six to ten percent rises. If anything ever fails on the bike, I have every reason to believe I will receive excellent support based upon my Pedego experience thus far. more

This bike has changed life. I am 62 years old and due to the natural forces of nature my body has problems and I was having to stay inside more and more as riding a bicycle and walking has become painful. I always assist and pedal to save power. I have gone from assisting in third gear to sixth gear as my strength and pain has greatly improved! The bike is well built. The frame tubing is strong and reliable. The welding is smooth and consistant. The paint job is beautiful and mechanically it works great! more

Pedego bikes far exceed their competition, in this new arena of electrical bike transportation. The bike is well designed, rides very comfortably. And is easily the best electric bike made today. I have two bikes,my Tommy Bahama cruiser is in Lido beach Florida and my Trail Tracker at my northern home in WNY. Pedego is a great company,they have sent me touch up paint,a new battery and assisted me with e-bike questions. Every time I get on my bike I smile,totally silent transportation with 20-25 mile range and more if I peddle. The only problem is all the questions I get about the bikes every time I stop! more

About 2 months ago, I sold my Harley Davidson Softtail Deluxe because I was not riding it much. I bought a Pedego Trail Tracker with the Huge Tires for myself and 2 Pedego bikes for my wife and 11 year old daughter. Since we have purchased the bikes, we have gone for a bike ride almost every day. My kids beg me to take them on rides when I get home from work. These bikes are the most fun I have ever had on a bike. The bikes are quiet, fast, handle hills like a champion. I could not give higher reviews for these bikes. Fun, fun, fun. The staff at the CDM location have been super helpful and I highly recommend Pedego to all of my friends and family. Keep up the great work. more

Retired fire chief from Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Did much research and found that Pedego was the logical source for my riding enjoyment. I purchased the step through City Commuter, 36 volt, 10 amp. Model from the local dealer Scooter Pro. Sales, service and customer satisfaction was exactly as stated in the reviews that I read. I have never enjoyed riding as I do now. Yes exercise was important but riding a bike should be an enjoyable experience and my Pedego delivers that in spades! Can't go anywhere without people commenting on it's style and function. Found a mirror called Mountain Myrricle that mounts in the end of the handle bar by removing the cap at the end of the handle grip. I also added an additional light (flashing) front and rear for greater visibility. That being said I am extremely satisfied with the front LED light that comes with the bike. Very functional and bright. I thought the rear could use more visibility but that is a cheap and easy fix with products available today. Many of my friends have or are about to purchase a Pedego after riding mine. Congrats Pedego and keep up the good work and customer service! more

Wow ! The city commuter bike from pedego is wonderful! I love my bike. The owner and his staff made my purchase wonderful too. They took care of all of the details which were comprable to the best rated mainland pedego dealers. "You guys rock Kailua pedigo ! " So many people in Waikiki have said its a beautiful bike. more

I am so happy with my new pedego comfort cruiser, which I bought with the Swiss dealer. I pull a trailer with it and live on a hill, and still drive home very easily and with little effort! First time I drove it for 20 min. only and already got 3 compliments from people on the road looking at the bike. The great thing is you can decide to have a little exercise with little assistance by the motor or you are tired and your effort will be very small thanks to the assistance. To be confirmed on a long run if quality is what it promises, but dealer tells me that details are well thought through if for example you need to change the tire and pull away the cables, it's relatively easy to do. The only thing I miss so far are accessories to personalize its look, I might have to buy them from other brands... more
